June 2018 I had a recliner chair seat replaced with new foam (covering was bonded leather). He charged me $225 (previously quoted $250 and dropped it to $225 when he made the delivery) and I paid by cheque. To the eye, the job was perfect. Then I found it would not recline or come back into position as it had before. I called and was told there had been a bolt loose and it was tearing the fabric so he fixed it. I said it may be reasonable to believe it wouldn't recline as it had as it did seem loose, but it still should come back into position the way it had before. He wouldn't even come look at it, so I left it as was and recently sold it.

Early March 2019 I called for him to come and give me a quote to recover a platform rocker. He came and his price was cheaper than another company so I thought I'd give him another try. Around March 13, 2019 he picked up the chair and the material. On March 18, 2019 he delivered the chair and I paid him $175 in cash. He had no receipts so I had him sign an envelope stating he received the money from me on said date for said amount. I thought it strange that he added a head covering to the back of the chair when none was there previously. After he left I took the head covering off and found a flaw that is quite noticeable (which may be in the material but that piece should have been used on the back), then I found another flaw under the material that seemed he didn't pull the underside tight and left a ripple under the fabric. The ends on both sides of the upper back of the chair do not match and the stripes on the seat and back do not line up. The seat was replaced with new foam and basically I am sitting on the foam, seems something is lacking there. He left it square when the other seat was rounded that fit under the knees. I called him on March 26, 2019 to say I was unhappy with the results. He was vague, didn't seem to know what I was talking about or who I was or the address. I asked he come and have a look to discuss. He hasn't shown up.
