To whom it may concern:
We are in receipt of your communication related to complaint #[redacted] filed by [redacted] is a past traveler of ours and did participate in the Seasons of Yosemite trip we managed that took place from May 8, 2016 to May 13, 2016.
We unequivocally refute the...

assertions made by [redacted] was one of four travelers who participated on the trip, along with the trip leader. Upon arrival, the guide identified a physical impediment that existed with another traveler. This physical impairment was not described in any respect by this traveler in forms submitted to us prior to the trip, nor was there any other notice we were provided in advance of the trip that this person would not be physically capable of longer, more strenuous hiking. At the time the group convened at the start of the trip, the guide discerned this issue and from that point and continuing through the entirety of the trip, the guide made adjustments to accommodate both the traveler with the physical impairment and [redacted] and her traveling companion.
The trip followed the route described in the trip materials and outdoor activities, including hiking, were available to all travelers throughout the trip. The guide took specific care to work with [redacted] and her traveling companion to offer options that would allow for more significant hiking on the trip in consideration for the fact that the traveler with the physical impairment was not able to endure more moderate to strenuous hikes. Additionally, the guide actually led [redacted] and her traveling companion for a longer hike on May 12 and noted in his trip report that [redacted]’s traveling companion had difficulty completing the full hike that was planned.
The guide reported to us about the traveler with the physical impairment that had not been known about in advance. In his description of the adjustments made to accommodate all travelers in light of the previously unknown physical impairment, the guide detailed that he maintained close communication with [redacted] and her traveling companion throughout the trip, that he made accommodations for them to enjoy longer hikes when they so desired, even when the other travelers were not able to participate due to physical limitations. 
Lastly, we request standard evaluation comments from all of our travelers. For the departure that [redacted] participated with, all of the evaluations received provided the highest ratings for the trip, the guide, and the overall experience.  The evaluation from [redacted]’s traveling companion praised the guide for the great job he did ensuring that people with different abilities and expectations had a great trip.  [redacted] did consent to our standard terms and conditions, in writing, and these terms and conditions do not allow for any measure of refund on the basis asserted by her.
