Ocwen Loan Servicing, LLC Reviews (95)

I am an Authorized 3rd party representing the homeowner on a short saleWe have been pushed around for over monthsThe last two months dealing directly with Ocwen has been very frustratingI call into the customer service center and no matter which department I go to the only response I ever get is " Ma'am I'm sorry but there are no updates showing on the fileIf you don't hear back from us with in a few days try back." I've requested a manager call me and they have all to get the exact same story as quoted above and then they reschedule a date and time to call me backI've had a manager call me twice now and the file is no closer to closing than it was when we started the process
I have now emailed *** ***/Director/Office of the Ombudsman Ocwen Loan twice and still haven't gotten a response
I am hoping that by posting this someone with the company will contact me and review this file, personally work the file and hopefully allow us to close soon

My wife and I have completed all required documents to refinance our home loan EXCEPT for two documents held by Ocwen, after I have called them twice Our refi is being delayed without reason, thanks to Ocwen delaying sending requested information
As everyone knows, mortgage interest rates are slowly, incrementally rising, so, after having delayed us for weeks, it is quite possible that our new monthly mortgage will rise, thanks to the passing of time
These people have ignored requests for documentation and relief from the State of Florida, the State of California, the Federal Trade Commission, and, of course, the Revdex.com Our only recourse, it would seem, is to stop paying our mortgage, and thereby ruining our credit rating, or spend thousands on litigation

My mortgage / loan was transferred to Ocwen some time agoI set up an online account to access my information, but because I hadn't been active online for a while, my login/password no longer workedWhen I attempted to regain access by following the directions on the website, the site claimed it didn't recognize any of my informationI sent several emails to customer serviceI called numerous times and could not get through to anyoneYet they seem to have no problem automatically deducting money from my checking account each monthIt seems that the customer service department either is indifferent and/or is lacking in competency I really wish they would sell my mortgage off to another lender already

I realize that this won't really matter, but how come a company who says you have a Relationship Manager to work with your case but you can never get this particular person on the phone unless you have an appointment. Then when you have an appointment and they call and maybe don't you on the phone that particular time they don't call again. Try to call them back immediately and you end up getting other customer service people who can never really help your situation because they are trained by a written script and they don't really hear your problem thoroughly. It is so frustrating because they can hardly speak good English, I can't understand what they are saying at times, they seem to answer me back by putting me on hold because I guess they have to find the answer from somebody else, and you end the call still not resolving the problem. How come there is no office here in the United States that homeowners can call and speak with somebody who thoroughly understands English and can give you an answer to your problem immediately instead of having to wait 30 days. I plan on refinancing my house in the future so I can get from up under Ocwen because just by them being located overseas is what's the most irritating. No one can ever give you an answer the same day.

OWCEN has an inactive lien on my home since 2010, prohibiting me from refinancing my mortgage. I've called for help and have been unable to get a live voice. I've sent emails and contacted them using their contact me tool on their website and nothing. I've even faxed proof of the lien and my contact information over and nothing. This is maddening, by far the worst company that I've ever dealt with, the worst.

OMG This is the worse loan company. When I financed my home my mortgage company sold my mortgage to this company!!!!! I am not pleased. They are a debt collection agency and nobody speaks English. Worse nighmare.

Where does one report this incompetent company. They are the worst vendor I have ever dealt with. Can I somehow move my account.

My house loan of 10 years was sold to Ocwen by my mortgage co. and then the problems began. Ocwen is NOT a mortgage co. , they are a loan and collection company and they act exactly like you expect of a collection company when dealing with the loan holder. The first levels of communication are rude and demanding, you have to get to several levels above them, to speak with someone that MIGHT be able to understand and assist you. The first levels play the games with you about going above them and you have to get tough and nasty sometimes to move up the chain of command to get decent help.
I called over 5 times on issues and was assured it was resolved - eventually the house was sold and I still had problems with them , after all costs were paid at closing.
Finally got Rep. named " Pinky " in the " Esculation Dept." to help resolve the concerns, she was very helpful and professional.... get to her ASAP

I have had terrible experiences with this company ever since my loan got transferred to them. Most recently, they transitioned to a "new and upgraded system" which has apparently wrecked havoc on their ability to access any info about my loan. Around the same time, they increased my auto-pay deduction by a few hundred dollars, but since they cannot access any information on my loan (which has been around since 2011) prior to the last two months, they can't tell me why. Today I called to ask why I still cannot access my payment history online and the staff put me on hold, then just said "the system is running slow today" so they could not pull anything up. Apparently they will send me my full payment history within 7 to 10 days, but I will not hold my breath and will be researching refinancing options ASAP solely because I do not have any trust or confidence in this sketchy company.

I paid off my loan to [redacted] and they in turn, sold the non existent loan (remember, I pait it off) to Ocwen months later. I sent Ocwen all the paperwork needed to show them that the loan did not exist because it was paid off. I called to let them know, I faxed them the paperwork, and I emailed the same paperwork to different departments. Ocwen still insists I owe them the money for the loan.

I have called over 20 times and each time I have to explain myself to a new customer service agent that sounds like they are in India. Regardless of how much time it takes to explain to them my situation, they always end with, "Okay, ma'am, now would you like to make payment arrangements for your loan?" WHAT? DID THEY NOT LISTEN TO WHAT I SAID????

I am trying to close on a house right now and this problem with Ocwen is the last thing holding me back. I have called and called and no one can help me. I got in contact with a manager finally, who said he'd help. He is aware that this is urgent and I needed a response by today. Well, the entire department is now closed and I have to wait until Monday.

If I do not get a response by next week, I am filing a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. This is getting out of hand and I can't close on my current home until this is resolved.

My advise: STAY AWAY from OCWEN. They do not help, they do not understand, they should go out of business!!!!

Ocwen loan servicing has been a big pain in the rear, they have constantly give me a headache, I am having to constantly show proof of payment. they are very rude with customer service. I DO NOT recommend anyone to have them as a loan servicing company.
I have had homeowners insurance on my house since I have owned it and they have rudely insisted that I have not had any even when my insurance broker and myself show proof.
They leave stuff out of loan mods then tell us that "oh well you are stuck with this." They will not lower my home value to because I do not have a freddie mac or fannie mae loan, my house is so far under water that I am stuck with this house.

THEY JUST SIMPLY DO NOT CARE

I sold my home in January of 2014. Ocwen held the mortgage which upon close of escrow was paid in full. A few weeks ago I applied for a new mortgage and learned that Ocwen had reported that my account was "settled for less than balance due" This is 100% false. This false information has blemished an otherwise perfect credit score. I not only have never made a late payment I am also 100% debt free. Because of this reckless or possibly deliberate error on behalf of Ocwen I am in limbo and unable to obtain a mortgage. I contacted Ocwen by phone and explained the situation and the fact that this delay could be very costly if the current interest rate should increase before this matter is resolved. I provided all the required information and I was given a extension number to call if I had any questions. Due to the urgency of the matter I requested that I be kept informed about the progress by either phone or email. I have had no contact from Ocwen in almost a week despite telling them that I only had about a week before the mortgage company was going to reject my loan if the matter was not cleared up. I have since made numerous calls to the number given with no answer and no results. I have left numerous messages both via phone and email with negative contact of any type. I have demanded that they return my calls and I have demanded that a supervisor return my calls but no response. Ocwen obviously does not care about customers either past or present as is evident by the number of complaints against them. Obviously this matter needs to be cleared as soon as possible but without Ocwen's cooperation it could take months. I can see a mistake in spelling or a transposed number, we all make them but a sentence saying "settled for less than full balance" without supporting documents is a completely different matter.

OCWEN Loan Serving is by far one of THE WORST financial companies that I've ever had to deal with!! They bought my loan over 9 years ago and since then I've been stuck with this company!! I've paid all types of escrow shortage fees which to this date don't know why when my school property taxes continue to decline!! The customer service reps have very poor English speaking abilities and are very rude, disorganized and know NOTHING!! Yesterday, 6/26/16I called to disputed something that OCWEN reported to the credit bureau that was not true and I was placed on hold well over 8/9 times and spent nearly 2 hours on hold with /l2 different reps that were STILL UNABLE to resolve my issue! I plan to follow through again today and file yet another complaint with the Revdex.com!!!

Ocwen Mortgage is the worst mortgage company I have ever had to deal with. They requested a shortage on my escrow account which I mailed to them via a check. The check was lost in the mail (or lost in their office-do not know). I called to make sure they received the check on time which according to Customer Care they had not so I authorized ACH from my checking account in March 2014. I called the bank and stopped payment on the check in the event it ever got to Ocwen-I did not want another payment into the escrow. The escrow payment they drafted from my account was applied to the monthly payment and not the escrow. Had to call them back again get that moved to the escrow. Received a letter in May 2014 that they had charged me $25 for stop payment on the original check even though they had already received the money and warned me if I did not send a replacement check they would take action on my account. These people do not know what they are doing and should be closed down.

This company bought my mortgage shortly after I got it with someone else. They are brutal to deal with. Whoever you talk to usually can't give you n answer because they are o big. If you have a problem it can be a nightmare. Yearly statements come a month late. My accountant told me this is common with them. They screw up the escrow every year. Finally when I decided to just pay the mortgage off they screwed up the electronic transfer too. It was " los"t for a couple of days ($150K) but my bank had dealt with them before and knew how to "find " it for them! Imagine living with that for 3 days thinking that you might be out that kind of money? AVOID THIS COMPANY ANY WAY THAT YOU CAN!!!

We have had Ocwen as our "mortgage company" since they bought out [redacted] which was several years back. We wanted to pay our mortgage 2x/month via an automatic bank draft. At first we were told everything from [redacted] would "simply roll over"... NOT!!! It took SEVERAL months to establish the bank draft. Once established we were told it HAD to be more than the real payment BUT at the end of the year we would actually be making an extra payment on our mortgage thus reducing our loan faster! We have received phone calls OVER AND OVER AND OVER again stating we are LATE on our payment. WHY you may ask... because the date we wish to have the drafts pull sometimes fall on Sundays when the bank is not opened. The next day we receive a call saying PAY UP NOW. I have spoken to supervisors and managers who have put "PERMANENT" remarks on our account saying "DO NOT CALL BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT NOR HAVE THEY EVER BEEN LATE IN A PAYMENT". Yesterday this occurred again. The first call was from someone in INdia asking for my social security number..INSISTING ON PAYMENT. I refused to give my private information to someone I did not know and asked for the number to call Ocwen directly. Of COURSE I ended up with an 800# that OF COURSE went to INDIA where I spoke to a man named [redacted] I asked to speak to a US customer service representative. I KNOW if a customer asks this they are legally bound to transfer them to a US representative (but hey MAYBE Ocwen never trained on that being the law. EACH time I asked he said he did not have that capability but he could help me. On the 5th request he was "magically" able to transfer me to a US representative. I was FINALLY able to speak to a US representative (after about 45 minutes!! ) The US representative named [redacted] She tried to assist me and was going to transfer me to a supervisor if she was available. However after 20-30 MORE minutes I was disconnected. I waited 30 minutes HOPING she would call me back since she had my number (IT IS ON THE RECORD). She NEVER called me back (SHOCKER!!) I called again and of COURSE had an [redacted] in the Philippines who was quite rude and of course REFUSED to transfer me to a US representative. She said she did not have that capability. At my insistence she placed me on hold to ask someone and once again "magically" had the transfer capability to put me into the US. I got a representative named [redacted] in Iowa. [redacted] explained to me that since I had been a GMAC customer SEVERAL YeARS ago that I was still in the "old system" and they had "just" upgraded the system. This "upgrade" caused all previous permanent remarks to fall off the account which is why we have started receiving calls again. However, the calls are coming when the date the bank drafts are to occur happen on a Sunday or holiday when the bank is closed. DUH...seems like they could build a way to tag this so their system can catch up or else have the representative READ the record to see if we REALLY have been late (which we have NOT.) These harassing, unprofessional, stressful calls are unacceptable. Their business practices are unacceptable. They give NO CUSTOMER service. It took me THREE hours yesterday to FINALLY get a rep who knew what she was talking about she also gave me a number to the "Ombudsman's" office where I can make my complaints. Apparently this "office" takes suggestions for system problems they are having and submit them to someone with the power to do software upgrades to be more customer service oriented. In case anyone wants to get on the band wagon with me. The number to the Ombudsman's office is XXX-XXX-XXXX. The number [redacted] originally gave me was disconnected but it did give the new number. Unfortunately when I called it...I had to leave a message and have to wait 24-48 hrs to receive a call back. I believe they have systemic issues greater than the MANY phone calls I have received stating I am late on a payment!! I believe they should be able to upgrade their software so PERMANENT NOTES remain Permanent; so people making good regular bank draft payments do NOT receive harrassing, unprofessional, stressful calls, TRAINING their international call centers to KNOW they MUSt transfer a call to a US representative when asked and not give anyone a hard time....just do it!! ANd I believe they should have a number JUST for the USA so we do not have to go through the international call centers. ALL numbers for this business are 800#s and there should be a US number to call. My account is now remarked that I [redacted] ONLY speak to US located representatives. AND if you are on line with a customer service representative with a HOT issue..they should call you back since they already have your number .... rather than hoping I am just going away. However, the lack of customer service on the part of many created an even worse impression than I already had of this company. Also in listening to their recording MANY times... I noticed that they state "Ocwen is a debt collector"!! Dont you find that interesting that they way that want to be identified is as a debt collector...not a mortgage company with good customer service but as a debt collector!!! RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, creating STRESS, ANXIETY, and CONCERN thru high pressure tactics to collect a debt that DOES NOT EXIST!!! Also isn't it amazing that they do not wish to be part of the Revdex.com????

1. started process after being contacted on 4/14/15. was told 3.5% with $7042 in credits. No Cost FHA Streamline loan. 2. had to wait til 5/1/15 for FHA Case No to be pulled. in the meanwhile was told all else will be ready to move forward. once Case No pulled paperwork could be finalized. 3. a "RUSH" was put in. However we were told they are "too busy" and will try to get it done fast as they can. 4. 5/13 and 5/14/15, was sent Fee factsheet & disclosure showing the 3.5% and $7042 of lender credits. 5. Postponed to sign due to not having all the docs. Postponed several times actually and updated disclosures sent. it's as if they didn't know what they were doing. 6. Disclosures showed a lot less in credits and indicating we'll need over $2k to close! 7. Brought up these concerns and either no replies or replies that they can't estimate or know anything until HUD. Can you believe that!!?? 8. Asked again why the discrepancs and was told "some of it due to extensions".

OCWEN people do not speak English. I can never understand them. I have owned my home for over 20 years and am making payments as I get child support. I am very ill and these OCWEN people call at all times of the day if they don't have my payment by midnight of the 16! I can be getting chemotherapy and they call and call and call....When I do answer, they don't speak English! I live in Texas, I understand Texan!!! They need to hire English speaking people for me! I have to hang up on them.
Perhaps it's time for their CEO, CFO, COO to be replaced with some more United States of America supportive people!!!
I personally can not wait to get away from OCWEN. Horrible Customer Service!

I was not surprised to see their F rating with consumer affairs and the fact they had to agree to $2B in loan modifications to settle with the govt over deceptive practices. Their book keeping is at best incompetent. Their system and tools are simply obsolete. They have the feel of a debt collector more so than a loan servicer. I did not pick these people, unfortunately, I had the misfortune of them acquiring my loan. As soon as they did, the genius' sent me a letter stating my insurance must be raised to cover the loan value. They did not get that insurance covers the dwelling, not the dirt it is sitting on which where I live is a lot more valuable. I am accelerating payoff but sadly I may to refinance (with a no Ocwen clause!).

This is a HORRIBLE company that has many policies in place that are designed to make it harder on people who are already struggling and take their homes from them.
STAY AWAY.
My mortgage was sold to them, and since then, it's been a nightmare.
I've had my mortgage for over 10 years now, and it has bounced between a few companies, but this is by far the worst.
Not paying taxes from escrow.
Refusing to accept payments.
A bogus attempt at mortgage modification that leaves the home owner with very few options.
Bogus fees added to bill. (Home inspection fee charged)

This company seems to want to push people into foreclosure and take their homes.
