Ocean Media invades consumers right to privacy and exploit the environment toearn a profit.
Ocean Media Solutions sends mailers filled with advertising to homes and businesses. They profit by selling advertisement space in the mailers. Ocean Media does not offer the ability to opt from receiving their mailers. I called Ocean Medias Stuart office on Aug 22nd, Sept 12th, Sept 27th, Oct 10th, and Nov 19th requesting to be removed from their database. I spoke with a company representative each time except for Nov 19th when I left a voice mail. On each occasion that I spoke with a company representative I was told they would remove me immediately. I continue to receive their mailer and have not been removed from their database. I am filing a complaint based on the following reasons:
- Ocean Medias business practices do not allow consumers from not receiving their mailer.
- Ocean Medias business practices consume natural resources such as trees.
- Ocean Medias business practices release unwanted CO2 i.e. greenhouse gas as the mailers are delivered by USPS vehicles.
- Ocean Media's business practices disregard the environment and abuse consumers right to privacy in order to earn profits.
- Ocean Media lies to consumers who wish to be removed from their mailing list.
- Consumers cannot remove themselves from Ocean Medias business practices.
