Ocean Honda of Weymouth Reviews (%countItem)

I got a 2019 Honda *** from here after getting an offer from *** to help me finance a car with a personalized auto loan but I could only shop at this dealership. I got there and they told me they can offer me a better deal which wound up with me paying way more money a month for this and claimed that “their deal was better for me in the long run”. Unfortunately for me, this was my first car and I went alone and listened to their empty promises instead of taking someone experienced with me. Granted my credit wasn’t that great but now it’s even worse and I am struggling to pay for this car.
Less than a month into leasing this car I’ve had nothing but problems with it. It’s very cheaply made. The window had issues, brake lights and now less than a year in I have to get a new battery. I will NEVER get another car from them I’m in the right mind to return this one as it’s done nothing but ruin my credit and have me dump my money into it.

Since I bought the vehicle, I have had to return it to the dealership 4 times times. My vehicle has been out of service for repairs for a total of 4 business days. My vehicle has been in Ocean Honda for repairs on the following dates for repair of the following defects:
9/10/2018- I had called to complain about the cabin watch malfunctioning prior to 9/10 and was told to set an appointment. However, before the appointment I noticed the car was giving me difficulty turning on so I went right in and told them I think the battery was going. The tested the battery and it did need to be replaced. I was hoping this would solve the cabin watch screen issue. It did not.

9/14-9/17/2018- cabin watch still malfunctioning and when it malfunctions the rear entertainment system stays on even with the car off. I drop the car off and give three days to replicate the issue and they cannot. They reset the vehicle.

9/18- cabin watch malfunctions again and I bring it in same day with cabin watch malfunctioning so they can see the issue, they again reset the car.

Cabin watch malfunctions again. I set a date for 9/25 to get a loaner so they can again check this issue. On 9/25 I arrived and the technician told me all they can do is reset it. They have to wait for a “patch” to come out and until then there is nothing more they can do. I decide not to leave the vehicle if they can’t fix it as advised.

3/11/2019- I took the vehicle to *** to see if they would be able to do anything, or had any further updates. They looked at it, replicated the issue rather quickly, and said *** is aware of this issue but there is no fix yet.
I am having the following problems with my vehicle at this time: cabinwatch and rear entertainment system.

I would like to exchange the vehicle for one that works consi

We have seen this complaint and are doing everything we can to help the customer. The issue is with *** - we as a franchise dealer have and continue to do everything we can do to help this customer. Our internal legal department has also guided her in her lemon law case.

The state sided with ***, ocean honda is where I made the purchase and they should exchange it and get *** to buy it from them. They did not help me with lemon law proceedings at all, they gave me the number to *** and that was it. I have retained an attorney and will leave it to them at this point, but I will keep trying to get someone to help me whether it’s *** or ocean Honda because I am not getting stuck with a $47,000 vehicle that doesn’t work consistently.
Regards

After initially hearing good things about this dealership, I had high hopes when entering with the intention to trade in my vehicle for another on their lot. We were able to come up with a deal and I began signing the paper work for trading in my vehicle and financing a vehicle from their lot. At the end of the deal I was told all the paper work would be submitted to my insurance company Monday morning and I would be all set. It's now almost two weeks later and the dealership still does not have the title to this vehicle, the vehicle has not been registered, my account for my previous vehicle has not been closed out, and I have been stuck with a loaner car for a week now.

Ask any of the registrars in the state and they will tell you that it's against Massachusetts law to sell a vehicle that you are not currently in possession of the title for. This is a deceptive practice from this dealership and against the law. What's worse is that they assured me I was fine to drive the vehicle while they wait for the title. After I did my research on the law and found out it was not legal to do this I called and asked for something to be done. They suggested they would give me dealer plates for now and that if I ran into the police to just tell them I am on an overnight test-drive. Another illegal and deceptive practice. After hearing this I requested to be put in a loaner vehicle. After another week they have yet to obtain the title to this vehicle.

2 months ago I traded in my *** lease for a ***. I want to say that I love the *** and it's a great car , but please , I beg you , go to another dealership. I'm 22 years old and I don't have a lot of knowledge regarding cars , which Ocean *** of Weymouth quickly picked up on after speaking to me for a few minutes.
After getting the car , a lot of my friends and family were concerned when they learned that I had been talked into paying 615 a month for a *** LEASE. I was not made aware of the price until I had signed the paper work , which , being an inexperienced buyer , I thought was normal. Come to find out , after talking to my friend who works prime, it was broken down to me that they had hid thousands and thousands of dollars into my lease. The sum of the amount I pay for the lease is almost more than the actual value of the car.
I have gone in multiple times to try to resolve this. Finally , I brought my friend in to talk to them , as he is also a sales consultant. After my friend asked calmly to speak to the manager , the sales man that had sold me the car claimed that he was the manager (Bassam E is the sales man that sold me my car and then lied about being the manager! He then told my friend that he would try to turn the lease into a finance, in which he would profit even more.
My friend and I left and I then went to ***. They were very helpful and helping me further understand how taken advantagr of I was. There is nothing I can do. I am struggling to pay my bills. please stay away from this dealership. I will be reporting them to the Revdex.com and telling all my friends to stay away. Go to a dealership like *** or *** instead , where they actually care about their reputation and customer service. If anyone can help , please reach out.

This past weekend went into Ocean Honda for trade and new car purchase.
Salesman *** brought over Sales Manager *** and we agreed on price. It was getting late so I would go back next day.
*** called next day after answering my text about price of car. He left email with price and voicemail of price saying that he talked to *** and told me to come in to sign papers. *** told me he met his quota and my price was now $750. More.
Bait and Switch! He should not be able to get away with this deception.
Price should be the agreed number that I have in email and voicemail.
Weymouth Honda never pulled this deception on customers.

To Whom It May Concern:

My name is *** Sales Manager at Ocean Honda of Weymouth. In regards to the complaint to the "bait and switch". We never agreed on a price or had a written purchase and sales in regards to an agreed upon price. Mr. was well aware of the deal that was presented to him and he wanted an additional $700 dollars off and also left with our proposal which was 12,200 plus his trade on 12/29/17. Mr. called the sales associate the next day indicating he would do the deal at the $11,500 as *** indicated the number was the 12,147and if Mr *** wanted to move forward we would honor those numbers until the 12/31/17 as we were closing out the year and the incentives would end. Mr. would not commit to the deal until after the first of the year because he was not willing to pay the "excise tax from the town". We offered the deal to Mr. at the original agreed upon price ($12,147 plus trade). We are a fully transparent and full disclosure dealership and we pride ourselves on good customer service and being upfront and honest with all our customers. We are willing to work with Mr. to help him purchase a vehicle with a reasonable expectation of price. We also keep a record of all transactions and we have a copy of the proposal given to Mr.. In closing if I could have reached Mr. price I would have unfortunately I could not.

Thank You

Just read the response from *** and couldn't help but laugh at him being transparent. This *** is Dishonest and Deceptive. He says December 31, 2017 last day. I talked to *** on December31,2017 and he said *** wasn't in and paperwork is locked up. He says will do it tomorrow January1,2018.
January 1,2018 started with the email and later voicemail confirming price of $11,500.
At 12:30 pm *** and I talked and he said he just spoke with *** and price is $11,500, I said I'll be in around 4pm, he said fine. Started heading there and phone had a voicemail on it from *** saying give him a call. I called him and he says now price is $12,500=$750. more and I said I talked to *** earlier and have an email and voicemail dated today of price $11,500, why aren't you honoring the price. He says he made his quota and didn't need the sale at that price
This *** single handling ruin the friendly straightforward way that the Weymouth Honda sales department sold cars in the community where I've purchased four vehicles over the years. Ocean Honda is a Franchise and would rather have someone like this *** ruin a community dealership over $750. because they never stepped in to fix a Wrong. Proof doesn't matter with these people!
I have a voicemail and email dated January 1,2018 of the price $11,500, which doesn't lie. You have this Dishonest *** saying December 31,2017 was the last day. This is the Classic Bait and Switch and I hope if a potential customer reads Revdex.com, that they would have second thoughts of making a purchase with this sales department/dealership.
In all my years of purching vehicles, this is a first

I am an American Citizen living abroad, and in August I went to the Ocean Honda of weymouth dealership and I purchased a brand new Honda *** and I payed in full and in cash plus Massachusetts tax even dough I was not driving the vehicle there because the vehicle is to be shipped to Cape Verde island where I reside now. But they obliged me to pay the taxes so the car could be registered and that the defenite title would arrive in my address in the US in about 4 to 6 weeks. so today October 17th , since I did not received the title (I can only ship the car with the title under my name) I called the dealership to find out whats happening and they tell me they did not register the car and that they are sorry. But this malpractice , negligence or wrong doing is costing me a lot of money and the ability to open my restaurant here in Cape Verde , because I was waiting for the title so I could ship the car with some restaurant equipment inside of it , so they would come together and save on the freight price. Never the less the brand new car is sitting at my family´s house collecting dust, depreciating and even getting battery and other rubber parts damage, because they did not perform they duty as a seller. so now I have to wait another 4 to 6 weeks to get the title, and find a way to ship the restaurant equipment by itself collecting more expenses and it will not get here in time for the opening of my business in December , which is the high season for business and I am paying interest on the bank loan and I do not have my business open because the dealership who has taken almost 32000 usd did not perform what they were supposed to. I believe this is unjust and they should pay for all my losses like the new freight charges and the interest I have to pay the bank without having a running business because of their malpractice, and also the depreciation and the tearing of the vehicle sitting on a back yard and leaving me here with no car to run my business.
