I am here to warn other families of my mistake. I booked an event with Pierre the owner of OC Party Package on August 15, 2014. I emailed him on Thursday, August 14th to confirm and he replied that he could not cater for me due to a death in his family. Feeling bad for him I gave him some space, but just recently he has made it clear that I will not be receiving a refund because he doesn't have the money to pay me back. I tried asking him to pay me in payments, but no luck there. I blame myself for not doing a background check. I noticed on Yelp, that people have complained about the same thing (my mistake). Anyway, I would hate to see this happen to other families. It was not easy to book another catering company at the last minute… that itself was very stressful.Desired Settlement: $230 refund

Review: On September 17, 2013 I prepaid $400.00 to OCPartyPackages owner [redacted], for a party on 12/21/2013. A couple of hours before the party, his brother called to cancel (family emergency)then called back and stated they would be able to service our party as planned. No one from the company called back to say they could not make it, yet no one showed up. I was left with a party of 50 people and no food. The next morning [redacted] called me and apologized and stated he would have my money back within a week. It is now 5 weeks later and I don't have my $400.00 and he is not returning my calls or emails. I read several reviews lately and [redacted] has done this to many people. Schedules parties, does not show up, and refuses to issue a refund. He is a scam artist!Desired Settlement: I would like my $400.00 returned to me as promised on 12/22/13.

Review: I hired [redacted] (he won't give me his last name) to cater my son's 2nd bday party I spent over 800 dollars for his services in which they included I paid for 100 chicken /rice bowls 50 tacos smoothies ice cream shakes margaritas 300 egg rolls u said he said he was bringing his own tables to set up in which he had none and he said he has his own burners wat taco man doesn't and in fact he had no burner he ended up using my kitchen which was unacceptable the meat smelt like fish smelt like old rotten meat mo body ate it he was super late to the party my guests waited 3 hrs to eat and he comes and give me an excuse like o someone stole my equipment but that's a cop out excuse bc I'm not the other person he's done this too I looked on [redacted] and he does this quite often he acts like he has equipment and he has n none also his workers were rude saying it's my fault they're cooking in the house and they also used materials from my kitchen which is unacceptable bc he said he had equipment I mean he's a taco man he was very unprepared and when his workers left when they carried out their trash they spilt oil on the side of my house which won't come up I have pictures so this was the worst experience I've ever had from a taco man and I always use taco men and this isn't the first time he's done this to someone on [redacted] ppl have shared the same experiences and he had said he was goin to refund me a portion in which he has not he's very unprofessionalDesired Settlement: I need my full refund on this or legal actions will be taken
