I'v had my vehicle for a little over 3 to 4 months 12 something kilometers was only driven in town and already its repairs were over $1800 plus 450
They sold me a vehicle that I'll be paying for a long time this is my first vehicle and I'm paying 231.31 every two weeks and it broke down on me yesterday and it just got fixed that the warranty coverage wasn't even enough for all this
Good Morning,
We fully inspected this vehicle and it had a 132 point inspection which is a standard practice for O'Brians. It come with a complimentary 30 day warranty and they had complaints during this time and we repaired it a third party shop. ***. Then no complaints for 90 days. We have have attempted to contact customer several times to help them resolve the issue on November 8, 2019. We have not heard back from them since this time and have tried to reach them many times. The customer has warranty that will assist her in fixing the vehicle. We do not fix vehicles outside of our warrant period, but will assist the customer in dealing with the mechanical shops for repair and or any other means we can to assist. We are very sorry for these mechanical breakdowns. All used vehicle will require maintenance and repairs in the future.
I was sold a lemon of a truck with a false pass inspection. I was promised a replacement after a year of non missed payments. That was not honoured.
I purchased a 2005 *** from the company in march of 2018. Less than a week after I had it in the shop to replace the CV joint on the drivers side. Shortly after my catalytic converter went. O brians replaced the CV joint but not the cat. They had their lot boy tell me it wasnt important. I requested the safety inspection which I believe to be false because of repairs I have had to do out of my pocket to date and the condition of the parts that were replaced. I have photo proof of repairs and state of parts as well as the safety inspection. I have reached out to the company to no avail. My sales rep was *** who assured me after a year of consecutive payments with no misses I would be able to trade the truck in for something newer and more reliable. This was not the case. Every person I spoke to ***, *** stated I required a co signer which was not disclosed at the time of purchase. I have to date put 100's of dollars into this vehicle to keep it on the road.
I would like the business to honour the original arrangement. I have never missed a payment. I have complied with their attempts to replace it by repeatedly running my credit score which takes a hit every time.
Ms *** purchased a 2005 *** in March 2018. She needed financing for the purchase. Because she had 2 previous auto repossessions the only finance company that would lend her money was ***
At the time *** had an upgrade program for clients with 1 year of good payment history. We informed the client of such.
Unfortunately *** has since stopped financing automobiles in Saskatchewan. This is of no fault of O'Brians. I have personally spoken to the other banks that do service Saskatchewan and unfortunately the auto repossessions (one was voluntary) are too fresh and the client will need to wait in order to upgrade.
Regarding the fake inspection the customer claims, this is slander. She has been provided with the inspection and I can provide it to anyone who needs it.
The client claims the vehicle is a lemon, however, was unable to provide any estimates from our warranty time frame. She did not have issues until much after the sale. This is unfortunate, however, there isn't anything O'Brians can do regarding vehicle maintenance.
If there are any other questions or documents required please feel free to reach me via email ***@ofinance.ca
Best Regards,

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I do not accept this response vecause while it was made refernece to ex. " its too bad *** doesn't do vehicle loans anymore because of the credit youve built" it was not outright said that was why I could not upgrade. As previously stated I was told I required a co signer in order to proceed. As for the inspection. It was done and less than a month after a major part, the cv joint had to be replaced. There is documentation of the truck being seen after this before I finally saved up enough to fix the issues needed to keep it on the road but I do not have access to them. *** out of prince albert were the ones that told me the catalytic converter needed to be replaced. The break rotors I recently replaced were completly rusted through. My mechanic who is licensed and works for a reputable construction conpany infromed me it was not possible to pass a safe road inspection in that condition and that it took quite a few years to reach that point. I have photographs of these parts when they were changed out.
Recently purchased a vehicle all information was not disclosed at time of agreeing to purchasing the vehicle also lied to me about delivery of vehicle
I was purchasing the a 2017 ***. Sales Rep would not show me details of loan until I agreed to purchase the vehicle he did not tell me that the vehicle was an out of province vehicle and was in the midst of an inspection. He told me the vehicle was at the Saskatoon lot and that it was on its way down to Prince Albert, at the end of the day after I signed loan agreement they then told me it wasn't coming because they missed it the tire shop and it would be here the following morning. The next morning he told that no one was able to pick it and he didn't know when I could get it. Later that afternoon I was able to pick it up. When I did so I seen the inspection was just signed off that day ***. The following morning I went to start it and a huge cloud of blue smoke came out of the exhaust. Being a long weekend I had to wait till Tuesday to call them, when I did so he told me its warrantied I voiced my concerns *** not feeling comfortable paying $50,000 for a vehicle that is having issues like that, that it was a sign of problems I would have with it in the future. I researched the vehicle and I paid $18,000.00 more than it was worth. *** I told them I would report the fact that they were stating vehicles are delivered on reserve to not pay pst when they are not delivering them. I received a call from their finance guy and he told me he would have another truck delivered to me that day and he assured I would be happy. The loan then went through the process of a buy back. Today I told them I do not feel comfortable purchasing a vehicle from them and that I would like the deal reversed. He then I cant do that I sold your ***. Again I got very upset and argued with him he told me too bad that truck is yours there is nothing you can do about it. I spoke with the bank they said the buy back was approved and being processed. When I told him this he told me that its still my responsibility and they will not pay the bank unless I buy another vehicle from them and I have to purchase a vehicle and spend the same amount. I told him I don;t feel comfortable with that I am overpaying. He told me too bad that my choices are buy the white one you initially bought or the silver one I offered you. *** I was not sold a quality vehicle I was promised I am now being forced to spend $50,000 there that I don't feel comfortable doing because I do not trust them. and I am being forced into this now because they will not pay they bank unless I purchase from them. After a day with the first truck I seen it had problems I don't understand how it passed an out of province inspection I don't understand that the 7 days the inspection took that not one person seen what upon start up it was blowing blue smoke and that should have been noted in their as well. Had I been given all the information about the vehicle I would not have purchased it. as mentioned they wouldn't even let me see the loan papers or the interest rate until I agreed to buy and I signed that sheet. They wanted a down payment of 1000.00 I agreed to make payments on it, however the loan documents don't state that and they charged me full price anyway they not put the price down to reflect the down payment. The shop I went to was going to inspect it however they took it back before I had the chance to get that done. I did however video the issue we were having with it.
I would like to have the loan deal reversed and I do not want to over pay on the value of what the vehicle is actually worth.
This was sent before I had a chance to speak to Ms.. We are in the process of working on an exchange as O'Brians has a no return policy. We offered to fix any concerns with her original purchase but didn't feel safe driving it. We then went to another truck and when she came to sign paperwork the deal was not in Approved status and the numbers did not match her previous deal. I have explained this to her and we are working together now to find a solution to this issue.
