If there were 0 stars to choose from, that's what I'd pick. This place Has a serious mold problem. Unsanitary & unhealthy!!! Office staff not owner repairs any mold issues. Actually, they've violated all EPA laws.

We are a small HVAC contractor. I met with bob Brown, and agreed to offer our services for some new projects he had coming up. We have 3 homes we performed full installations on, and it has been more than a year without pay. We found out later Bob Brown does not pay his vendors and subcontractors. He uses the excuse the bank hasn't paid him. We work on a 30 day net, we are not his bank! Bob Brown owes well over $20,000.00 to my company, and I am sure we will never see a dime of it.
To all of you potential home buyers, vendors and subcontractors, STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS GUY AS YOU CAN! Believe all you read on this site! I would give 0 Stars if I could.

Stay away from Bob B aka. Brown Builders in Pickerington, OH (he may also be doing business under another company name now). Do not be fooled by the “good guy, Christian” schtick that Bob puts on. You will get taken advantage of if you do any business with him. We found this out the hard way and I want to warn other people in our community so that you do not end up in the same situation that we did.
We hired Bob B (who was at the time a very close personal friend) to build a house for our family on *** more than a year ago. Our project resulted in hundreds of thousands of dollars in unpaid suppliers, sub-contractors, a hefty lien and missing money with no work or materials to show for it.
Since this has happened we now know of at least 6 other families that have had a similar experience with Bob B. The financial mess that this builder has caused to people in our community is real and will have a lasting financial impact on them. The stress and worry that is created is overwhelming. Enough is enough!
In our personal situation we were fortunate that we were able to work with a local bank to turn this around to the point that we could start building again, but we still have a significant financial loss that we are currently working through. We now have a high quality, professional, reputable builder to build our family home. We now see how the home building process should go and we can finally be excited about the next chapter.
If you are getting ready to remodel or build, do your due diligence in choosing your contractor. Listen to people and do extensive research. My hope is that nobody ends up in a situation like we did.

The information is 100% accurate and I challenge you go to Fairfield County and Franklin Counties Public Records filing sections and can see for yourself. He is a habitual offender who since 2016 has has had 10 filings against him just in Fairfield County including one from the State of Ohio for failure to pay his companies state income taxes. When his ponzie scheme of robbing one job to catch up another job started to crumble due his reputation catching up with he and his wife, they started not paying his contractors. They would then use the money to buy land in Vinton County Ohio while buying their kids cars and going on elaborate vacations like cruises and stays at 5 start hotels and properties in Florida. We know because we lived right down the street from the Brown's and they stole money from us to settle many of the judgments against them. They didnt pay suppliers or contractors on our jobs and took the Bank draws to settle other debts instead of paying for our home. When the bank stop giving them draws they just moved on to another unsuspecting family...some where from their own Church, WHERE HIS WIFE TEACHES BIBLE STUDY. We were best friends. Our kids played sports together, grew up together and we even attended THEIR Church at Violet Baptist Church in Pickerington. tHESE PEOPLE ARE true criminals of the worst kind. They have at least 2 cases currently being filed with the Attorneys Generals Office in the State of Ohio. Not sure how they can have an A+ Rating with the Revdex.com. Must pay their bill on time with them. Completely crushes the credibility of a service we all rely on to ensure and uphold Business Ethics and Trustworthiness. Do your homework Revdex.com!!! As a follow up from an earlier review, I retract fully my positive experience and agree with the other comments.

We hired Bobby B of Brown Builders in December 2015 and terminated him January 2017 . He assured us that with his vast quantity of subcontractors he could complete our build by August /September 2017 . We found Brown Builders financially irresponsible taking 95% plus of our build money and failing to pay about a third of the subcontractors , leaving us with five liens on our new build . Bobby B tried to squeeze extra moneys from us without invoices or documentation and not taking into account under budget items . Our home build was under budget . It took Brown Builders 5 months to provide us with invoices requested . Bobby B of Brown Builders was very absent during the build and when reached would referred us to a project manager who had no answers . The times we were able to reach him questioning on way the build was dragging on he was deceptive and evasive . In all a bad experience.

Bob B lied to his contractors and customers, does not honor contracts, and owes our business alone nearly $20,000. He will not answer any means of trying to contact him & and sort of business interaction with this company should be avoided at all costs. Most of his customers have already hired lawyers to try to collect their funds BEWARE!
