On 09/29/we sold a *** *** ***y AS IS, we safety checked before delivery Customer also signed in spots AS IS After purchase vehicle ran perfect but check engine light would come on, we replaced all coils, spark plugs, crank sensors, cam sensors - No Charge Months
later we replaced cylinder heads, No Charge, over $4,worth of repairs Customer brought vehicle to other shops and they said it was put together wrong No way our certified tech of years put the vehicle back together incorrectly ***'s are known for head gasket problems, very very common.Customers rude rhetoric with owners wife was our final deciding factor to no longer help Our reputation is impeccable!!
Thank you,

On Jan 18, Nutmeg sold a *** *** ** with miles for $ We did a complete safety on the vehicle, we changed front and rear pads, turned rotors, a serpentine belt and a tensionor Every thing else was good The car was sold as is and he was aware of it, on
different papers he signed AS IS
On Jan 21, the owner *** *** recieved a call from *** ***, it was a profanity laced and intimidating phone call, even after an irate phone call, *** still had the car brought in, where the mechanic found the water pump had froze, which we are not responsible for fixing but replaced that and went a step further and did a $timing belt job with all the pulleys, and he was not charged at allAgain, he was not satisfied with that, he proceeded to take it to Hoffman Audi stating there was no power in the car which Hoffman road tested and ran a scan and found the car to perform the way it should, customer also stated the tires had leaks and Hoffman found no leaks Hoffman did recommend spark plugs, and perform a fuel injection service, there was Recommendations but at no time was it stated that the car was unsafeThey are looking to get out of the car not that it is unsafe, but that they can't afford it They were not pressured in the car at all, we actually pulled some one else off the vehicleWe have an impeccable reputation that we take great pride in All our cars go through a complete safety check, set up by the state of ctThank you,

I purchased a 2007 [redacted] from Nutmeg and I have to say.... I was very impressed with Pat and Cindy. They went out of their way to find me the right car, great price, and they showed excellent customer service. I highly recommend Nutmeg Auto Wholesalers to anyone looking for a quality used car. -James, Satisfied Customer
Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
I acknowledge that I purchased the car "AS IS" as designated on the paperwork and that is not the primary issue for which I have submitted this complaint. The vehicle was not in perfect working order as stated as it had a check engine light on during the test drive, it was briefly wiped by computer, and while it was off when I drove it off the lot directly after purchase, it returned within days. Again, the primary issue is that it was not within working order as it had a cylinder misfiring which was acknowledged by Nutmeg Auto and the purpose for which I brought it back in for multiple repairs as noted in my initial complaint. Each time the check engine light returned and the cylinder misfire was not fixed. Upon the final repair, it appeared to be fixed for roughly a month until the check engine light returned and then I began to notice the extensive oil leaks and brought it into other mechanics and finally the certified [redacted] dealership in [redacted] that I had noted previously. Again, my issue is with the final repair by Nutmeg Auto which was done improperly and I have noted in my initial complaint by the [redacted] dealer. This included the fact that the cylinder was still misfiring and there were now additional problems caused by the faulty repair work by Nutmeg Auto that resulted in the engine needing to be replaced and Nutmeg did not accept responsibility for any cost or liability.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Review: I was sold a vehicle with a safety issue. Also, I am being given the run around about getting the issues fixed and I cant even drive the car. I have had the car 2 weeks and either the owner nor Cindy care. I paid in full and now I do not even have a car to drive.Desired Settlement: I want my money back, as the car has safety issues and should have not passed a safety inspection. I cannot believe that you guys would have done that. I do not feel safe in the car, it is not fair that you guys lied stating that it passed all safety inspections.
