Review: In September 2012, [redacted], from NovaStar Construction Group,
was working on the roof of the church on our street. He noticed that
our roof had been damaged by a recent hail storm. He told us they
would do the repairs and accept whatever the insurance company would
pay.
An adjuster from [redacted] and [redacted] checked on the
work to be done and decided that we would get a new roof, new gutters
and some window frames.
On November 10th we gave [redacted] a check made out to [redacted] to cover the deposit. When the work was completed we
gave a final check (also made out to [redacted].) to [redacted] (from the NovaStar group.)
After a strong windstorm on, or about, December 28th, we lost quite a
few shingles. We called [redacted] who said he would come and look at
the damage. He never came. After a few more calls he said he had been
going to the wrong house. After we straightened out the address we
waited for someone to come. In February 2013, we called them again
(after finding more shingles had fallen during another storm).
It is now March 9th. We have called [redacted] and [redacted] many times
and to this date no one has come to look at the problem. I last spoke
to [redacted] on March 2nd. He was going to call me "right back" to make
an appointment (it's a roof, you don't need an appointment, it's
outside) I'm still waiting for his call
We are senior citizens, and having to pay for. another contractor to do
the repairs would be a hardship. A roof should not be falling apart
after just one month.
We would appreciate your help in this matter. Thank you.Desired Settlement: Have roof repaired as soon as possible without cost to us.

Response:
On November 3rd of 2011, [redacted] and [redacted] were fired from NovaStar Construction Group. Ive never heard of this customer nor has this customer ever dealt with NovaStar Construction Group. We have never collected any money nor built or completed any type of construction including a new roof on their home. They said they gave their check to [redacted] and [redacted]? These are again 2 companies I have never heard of nor am I associated with. I demand that this bogus complaint that obviously has nothing to do with NovaStar as the author of this complaint acknowledges in the complaint stating that they gave their monies to 2 companies not associated with NovaStar. If they have a problem with a what appears to be a warranty issue they should make a complaint with the actual company they are doing business with and Not NovaStar Construction Group.
