Review: My mother is a cancer patient and got admitted to Novant Health Haymarket medical center for an absest in her intestine. when the doctor came in she told my mom that she is going to get pain medicine every two hours for the excruciating pain she is in. however, the nurses never bring her medicine even when I go up to the nurses stand and tell them that my mom hasn't had her pain killers in hours. they say "ok your nurse will get it for you" and nobody ever shows up until we do that multiple times each time. and every time the doctor comes in to check on her, my mom tells the dr that the nurses wont give her the pain killers, not to mention her other medication which includes blood pressure and fibromyalgia medication, the dr says "ok I will make sure the nurses get it for you, but the nurses never come unless you constantly hound them every minute, even then it can take over an hour just to get the medication. we have been here for 3 days and nothing has changed. I am afraid to leave my mother alone here in fear that she will not be taken care of. this is ridiculous.Desired Settlement: let the hospital administration of the actions of the nurses and how they are truly ignoring all of their patients.
