Although this occurrence and the previous occurrence that we already responded to onsite and attempted to repair is outside of our warranty time period, we are willing to return to inspect the issue as previously communicated. It should be noted, the leak is occurring above a window on an exterior wall and does not leak during rain storms but only during snow/ice melt. NorthStar installed the siding system only, prior to our arrival a separate contractor who the customer is friends installed the roofing and gutter system. We believe that the issue may be due to ice damming on the roof and not our installation of siding. We are happy to return to the project and water test the window and surrounding siding to see if we can produce a leak. If so, we would correct the issue free of charge. If we cannot produce a leak water testing the siding & window area we would move to inspecting the attic for a potential ice damming coming from the roof. If we discover that the issue is due to an error of roof system installation causing ice damming we would then charge $825.00 for the attic/roof inspection. We would need access to the interior of the home as well as the attic and are happy to return to investigate, please advise.
