We recently hired this company to replace our roof Our primary contact with the company was through their salesman I have previously raised these concerns directly with the sales rep
We did receive a *** gift certificate in compensation, which was nice but it would have been better if our requests had been met
Positive - their price was appropriate for the work done, and their workmanship was very good We've had a bit of snow this year and all evidence seems to indicate that our previous ice-dam issue has now been resolved thanks to this company
Neutral - there were some rain delays that prevented work, but there were also coordination issues that caused unnecessary delays, in particular accidentally ordering the wrong colour material Our roof did not get completed until four weeks after signing the contract Mistakes do happen, sometimes at the manufacturer's end beyond the control of the contractor, that is understandable Less so was only being told about the mistake the evening before the scheduled next day installation During the prolonged installation I checked in with the sales rep on progress, was reassured everything was on track, only come to see after arriving home that no work had been done that day
Negative - From the outset of this project, we had been very clear and specific about our needs and concerns We had been assured that the roofers would walk around with a magnetic broom, to retrieve nails and other debris This did not happen We were told there would be general clean up This did not happen We have a young child Our neighbour is running a day care in their back yard We are still finding discarded nails and razor-sharp shards of cut aluminum in both our yards My initial walk-around found discarded wrapping tossed into bushes, shingle pieces, splintered bits of plywood, cigarette butts that do not belong to us Empty water bottles left in our eaves trough or on top of our chimney cap I raised these issues when the sales rep came to get final contract signing I showed him the garbage that we had collected He assured us that someone from the company would be coming by within the next few days to retrieve and do clean up This didn't happen It's now December Work was completed beginning of September
In short, they did good work, but there were organizational problems from the very beginning, and my house was left a construction site with no clean up despite being promised that it would happen

We had CAPOR install new siding, windows, soffit, fascia and eavestroughs on our recently purchased home in June/July of 2015 for a total approximate cost of $16,000.00. The windows were done first. The manner in which they were done was definitely NOT to our satisfaction, or done in the manner we wanted. We were never consulted. and one of the employees working on the windows was urinating in our flower beds and against the side of the house we later found out. After numerous calls back to rectify things that were poorly done with the windows, siding and other things (at one point they screwed a side gate which had been removed DIRECTLY into the new siding, instead of in it's original location on the brickwork). Our bathroom window was installed crooked. They offered to re-do it but by this time we were sick of their constant visits back to re-work things. The salesman that sold us their "proffessional" services told us he would come back to clean the new windows (which were dirty and full of marks) and do a final inspection, his standard procedure, according to him. The foreman later asked if we STILL wanted him to do this. Again, we were so tired of them we declined.[redacted]. They said they do a complete cleanup of the jobsite in their advertising. We ended up cleaning up after them.
We had to constantly point out all of the shoddy workmanship and defects to the foreman as he just silently stood there assuming everything was OK.
Our experience with CAPOR was completely negative. None of the professionalism or craftsmanship that they advertise was found while we dealt with them. [redacted]
