Review: Faulty material installed. They admitted to that fact and initially agreed to replace same.

Now they refuse to repair or replace watering system. I paid $ 2100.00 dollars for the service.Desired Settlement: refund cost of installation

In 2008, we added an extension to [redacted] existing sprinkler system. During that time, unbeknownst to us, we purchased faulty pipe from our supplier. When we were made aware of the faulty pipe, we let our customers who were effected know.

During the past 6 years, we have made any repairs due to the faulty pipe at no cost to [redacted]. In 2014, the pipe broke down and we offered to replace the zones and only charge [redacted] our labor cost. However, [redacted] refused our offer to rectify the situation.

[Your Answer Here] This business' response is somewhat inaccurate. The course of events was as follows. I had agreed to have the business repair my system. They had given me (2) dates for the repair, but they never showed up. On the second date (some time in the evening), I was told by [redacted]. that his son said he was not willing to service my system, because "it was not worth his time". I was completely taken aback at this comment because I have been a loyal customer for 9 years. At no time did I refuse to accept his repair offer of no charge for labor, just for materials. I had every intention of proceeding with the repair. Also note that on both "service dates" I was given a time of day and had to remain at home for the entire day, only to be told that the work would not be done.

[redacted] spoke directly to [redacted] and was told that he wanted the repairs done for free or he would take us to court. As we said in our previous response, we made any repairs due to the faulty pipe during the past 6 years at no cost. That is well past the normal warrantee period of one year.

They have freely admitted that the material they had sold and installed on my property was sub standard / defective. The issue at hand is not about the warranty nor should it be but one of Trust in professional ethics .
