My complaint is concerning the denial of a copy of the transaction form 4473 I signed with Northeastern Safety Supply for three separate transactions Last week on the 6th of August I performed a FFL transfer with Northeastern Safety Supply of Roanoke Rapids, NC where I filled out the form 4473. When I asked for a copy of the form after the transaction the attendant ([redacted]) said no it's a federal document. This stuck me as a odd thing to say because I have copies of federal documents I signed before. I asked was it illegal form me to have a copy he said call the BATF and ask. I did and they said it was not illegal. So I asked why he did not want to give a copy and he said he did not want his signature to leave the store and that it was odd for me to ask for a copy (of something I signed) because no one has ever asked before. I was eventually asked to leave the store.Desired SettlementI want copies of each of the three 4473 forms I filled out with this business dating back to December 7, 2013 to August 6, 2014. Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted]Contact Phone: [redacted]Contact Email: [redacted]I contacted the ATF and was advised we did not have to supply the customer a copy of the form. Mr.[redacted] was asked to leave the store due to him being belligerent and stating that he was denied the copy because of his race. Regardless of a person's race it is our discretion whether or not to provide the customer a copy and we chose not to. Mr. [redacted] was not provided a copy then and will not be provided one now or ever. Had Mr. [redacted] advised that he would like to have a copy of the form prior to the transaction I would have asked him to take his business else where.Consumer Response Maybe a posted sign that says no detailed receipt for transactions would be sufficient enough for customers to know not to do business with Mr. [redacted] establishment.
