I had purchased a barrel from northeast barrel company as a Christmas gift back in December. It was promptly delivered within a week. However After looking at the product I found it was significantly damaged. I immediately emailed Matt Thomas the sales representative who had sold it to me. I informed him of the damages product to which he responded almost immediately. He explained through email that he could either refund my purchase or I could send back the damaged barrel and received a new one. I elected to receive a new one. After waiting for a replacement product for over two months, I sent a final email to the company asking for a refund. I still have not received a refund for my purchase and have not heard back from the company sense. As of this point I am beginning to think I have been scammed.
Hi ***,I'm emailing you in regards to Complaint ID from ***. Long story short, we made an error and a replacement barrel was not reshipped to ***. We have since refunded his credit card for this order.We did not receive any correspondence from *** until 4 days ago when he messaged us through our *** online store. This is our only way to communicate with *** since we do not have an email or phone number listedAs you can see from the transcript below, I responded to *** the following day offering to reship or refund him. We received no reply. *** then wrote a negative 1 star *** Review implying that we scammed him. Since I had not heard back directly from *** I refunded his card and messaged him (again) through ***. We have not received any direct messages from *** since he initially reached out. To my surprise, we received your letter with a formal complaint today. I have no idea if *** is aware that his card was refunded already since he does not respond to our messagesPlease let me know if you have any questions. We would like any negative complaints removed from our Company since this has been resolved. Thanks for your help4 days ago4:52pm ESTMessage:Hey,It’s been two months waiting for the replacement barrel. At this point I just want my money back.If I don’t hear from you I’ll have no choice but to dispute the charges.
