My husband had heart ablation performed by a Dr affiliated with North TX Heart Center April 29, 2019, then a loop monitor inserted in his chest August 15, 2019 to constantly record his heart activity. Our Dr left North TX Heart Ctr on Nov 1, 2019 to start his individual practice. We followed him and had all medical records transferred with us. We have been to our Dr's new office twice. My husband's heart activity from his 24 a day loop monitor was printed out and discussed with us. His surgery was such a huge success and with no issues, he was taken off the blood thinner which my husband has hated because he bled profusely from any small scratch. We have been extremely happy with our Dr and his outstanding care and will stay with him forever.
Two final bills came from North TX Heart for services rendered by our Dr prior to Nov which I promptly paid online. Everything is going great.
We open our mail delivered February 18, 2020 and find a bill from North TX Heart for services rendered on a Sunday, November 24, 2019 from a Dr we have never heard of so I call. Two shouting matches later we understand that my husband's heart activity was REMOTELY downloaded and read by this unknown Dr. Needless to say, we are furious. How intrusive! We were never notified by the Ctr nor the Dr that they planned to perform this service, never received any info regarding what they found or even that they had done it. Now they are billing us for it, a service discretely performed by them almost a month after we left their practice and moved our business. This kind of secret invasion of my husband's body has left me tremendously frightened to say the least. I worry about email hacking but never dreamed of body hacking.
Other (requires explanation) Have North TX Heart Ctr write off this $229.00 as their blunder which makes our balance to them $ZERO and everyone part ways happy. This mistake should NEVER have happened.
