Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/05/28) */
[redacted] arrived at my office for a sit down first interview after applying for the PR associate position from Indeed.com. After [redacted] filled out her application, We started with the interview. She asked me questions about what a PR associate does,...
what happens in the office, what I do, but none of my answers were understood by her. It was clear to me that she had zero marketing, sales, or PR experience and when I offered to explain how my marketing business employs Representatives of Fortune 500 companies and their products, handles all the training for these companies, [redacted] seemed very uncomfortable and disinterested. I have to be honest here, I believe this complaint to be absurd. It is clear to me that [redacted] has no knowledge of what a pyramid scheme actually is, and to accuse my company of being a part of that, is ridiculous. I would be more than happy to allow any representative of the Revdex.com to tour my office to clear up any and all accusations from [redacted]. The interview process is a 3 step process to ensure we only make the most qualified applicants an offer. We also do this to answer any and all questions the applicants might have.
I have to be honest here, If it were me I would have called the police. This is the most loaded accusation of myself and my company I've ever heard. Kidnapping? Human Trafficking?
To wrap this up, through direct marketing campaigns (live representation) and our growing retail partnerships, we are fortunate to hire on and train Brand Ambassadors who understand how to answer questions correctly about these products, as well as represent our clients with integrity. The PR ad that was placed by my company is 100% in line with who we are looking to hire. We have growing relationships with different companies that request we have live representation, who have public relations experience or is interested in gaining that experience. We do background checks on everyone we hire to ensure that the Brand Ambassador is trustworthy.
Please contact me if you need anything. Thank you.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (2000, 7, 2015/05/28) */
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
I am fine with their response, although the manager didn't make anything clear with the specific questions that I had. I do understand marketing, PR and sales and if he understood how to read a resume and knew how to ask me questions, he would have found that out. His answers in the interview were extremely vague. He never mentioned that this PR position would be training people who were in Fortune 500 companies. The job title is misleading. He still doesn't understand that he wasn't communicating the job at all.
Best wishes with his communication skills. I hope he thinks twice about closing his office door while alone with a woman in a creepy basement.
Revdex.com did a great job of handling this matter. Thank you.
