First of all, the first contact we received regarding this matter was August 24, which you show as a reminderI had read the letter and mistakenly
thought I had until September to respond but I am doing so now
Mr*** came to our shop and wanted his drain plug removed and a new one installedWe explained that we would be changing the oil at the same time since the oil drains when you remove the drain plugIt took well over minutes just to remove the stripped plugOur oil change is $Our hourly charge is $so under the circumstances we felt charging the customer for half an hour of labor was more than fair
Mr*** has been a long time customerHe seems unwilling to pay for the service we provided to him so we will be refunding him $via check by mail per his wishes

I went in for an oil changethe drain plug had to be removed for that purposeI told them the drain plug was stripped and I bought a new one there for them to replace itHad they told me there would be an additional charge, I would have went somewhere else for the serviceSince it had to be removed for the oil change, I didn't expect to pay an additional chargeThey should have informed me prior to doing the workRemoving the drain plug is a procedure that has to be done to do an oil changeI have just received the refund on the labor and am satisfied with thatThank You
