The consumer's are repeat  customers. I did their basement and they called back for warranty work initially to do the slab. We took the slab out and they insisted on waiting until spring to pour it, although we would pour concrete at that time of year anyway.  while repairing the warranty...

work they contracted us to do basement drain tile and fibercreting all the walls which we did.  In the middle of the job, I was bringing the stone in, and the wife started saying I am not sure if we are going to pay you.... So I bailed, given she was not going to pay.  The husband then called, and wanted a refund on the $1900 down payment for basement job. That was not a warranty job. Consumer only wanted to pay $300 towards all labor and work done on basement when balance due would be $1900. All monies charged was for work completed.  In my opinion if they want to get out and breach the contract, I owe them nothing and I may offer to give them $600 to walk away from both contracts. I have time and materials into the jobs.
