Review: I purchased a Tige 22V wakeboard boat with extended warranty from Virginia Yachts (North Atlan Marine Group) . Around August of 2012, I filed a claim for an Electronic Control Module for the boat with [redacted]. North Atlantic Marine Group placed the order for the part and filed the necessary paperwork with [redacted]. In October or November of 2012, [redacted] paid over $1700 to Virgina Yachts (North Atlantic Marine Group) and closed the claim. My point of contact [redacted] has been evasive and avoiding my phone calls. On the rare times he has returned my calls, he has told me that he needed to get status on the part. At one point he informed me the part was on order and at the shop. When I tried to have him send the part to my personal mechanic, he simply did not return my emails or calls.
After continuing to call, [redacted] wrote me a text and told me he was sorry that the part had not been ordered. When I asked him to simply send me the check, he said he would check to see what he could do. This was the last communication I had with him. This was on Feb. 19, 2013.
Since then I continue to text, call and email on a daily basis even threatening small claims. I am currently in California on contract so filing a claim will be difficult at the time. However, I hope that this will prompt [redacted] to act appropriately and send the money or the part. I do have the receipt from [redacted] for payment of the claimDesired Settlement: I would like [redacted] to call me. Then I would like [redacted] to send me a check for the amount paid so I can purchase the part or I would like to receive a brand new part (ECM Module) in the mail. At this point I would prefer the check because I do not trust North Atlantic to provide me with the correct part nor to provide me with a new part.
