Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I did receive the email from this gentleman and will await the check however this accommodation is not in regards to my dec-jan or jan-feb bill. I have opened a separate complaint for my feb-mar bill which I will close once the check is received however this response does not reconcile my original first two bills. I would like an accommodation for my dec-jan and jan-feb bills which this response does not acknowledge. I sent an email response to this gentlemen with my concerns as well. I tried to contact the office to speak with him directly but no one could say he even worked in the office. Again I am looking for an accommodation for my dec-jan and jan-feb bills. Sincerely, [redacted]

Dear Revdex.com, I received an email from NAC today indicating that they will be sending me a refund for my December and January bill They also stated that they will charge me a rate of $for the remainder of my service which expires on April 9, /> I am satisfactory with their response Thank you

NAPG takes each customer's claims very seriously and strives to resolve the matter amicably At this time Ms [redacted] 's concerns remain under review and she will be contacted by an NAPG customer care agent at any time prior to Friday, 1/9/ We appreciate her patience and cooperation.Sincerely, Compliance Department North American Power and Gas

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: The only call I received from North American Power was today 3/12/15, two weeks after contacting the Revdex.com After my original conversations with North American Power on 2/23/when I was told the rate given me of cents per KWH would not be honored, I decided to switch back to [redacted] I did not want to continue to be billed at the current rate of cents per KWH I am on a fixed income and could not afford to send you an extra $that I did not owe, so, with no resolution in sight, I paid the bill less the $ What I need is a credit on my next and last bill for the $instead of a check, with no late fee assessed I also would like the disclosure rate of cents per KWH to be honored for my last bill These are the terms I will acceptSincerely, [redacted]

[redacted] was contacted by North American Power and Gas to discuss his concerns He was advised that he was enrolled on a variable rate plan where the price fluctuates on a month-to-month basis based on market conditions and other price-related factors Therefore, the price can go higher or lower than the utility's standard offer rate at any given time and savings are not guaranteed For this reason customers are encouraged to enroll in a fixed rate plan that can offer them price certaintyAs a courtesy to the customer, NAPG issued [redacted] an adjustment of $which satisfied his desired settlement and resolves his complaintWe regret the customer was dissatisfied with their experience and hope this response has meaningfully addressed this complaintSincerely, Compliance Department North American Power and Gas

Hello,
Complaint # *** - *** ***
We at NAPG take all customers’ claims very serious and have diligently investigated
Ms*** account to provide a reasonable response according to our
records
Based on the customer’s account details, Ms*** was enrolled into a
6-month $0.0799/kWh fixed rateThe mentioned fixed term was supplied to the
customer for the entire length of the contract At the conclusion of the 6-month term, the
customer’s rate expired and defaulted to the variable rate As a standard, NAPG sends renewal notices to
advise customers when their fixed rate contract is soon to expire and encourage
them to contact us to renew their rate plan
Additionally, as stated in the terms, if the customer takes no action, their
account will default back to the standard variable rate plan.
Attached you will find Exhibit A & B: (A) the
welcome letter which was mailed to the customer upon the completion of their
enrollment with NAPG (B) the renewal notice that was mailed to the
customer prior to the expiration of their fixed term
As of 3/8/2015, the customer’s account has been cancelled with NAPG and has not
incurred in further supply charges beyond this date

Complaint: ***
Good Afternoon,I am rejecting this response because it does not fully address the charges for the time period I was a customerWhile I appreciate that NAP wants to make this right, they are only refunding for the October and November billing cycles. As noted in my intial complaint, rates duobled in the the August bill Therefore the August and September billing have still not been addressedFurthermore, as noted in the NAP response, they would be refunding through 11/6. However, I remain their customer paying the inflated rates through early DecemberAs such, the December bill also needs to be addressedThis is months, for a total of months (August - December) The refund only addressed months (October and November). Please increase the refund amount to reflect the additional months and I will accept the business response
Sincerely, *** ***

North American Power and Gas, LLC (NAP) is a scamThey got me to change my supply-side for electric from *** to NAPFor three months my rate was cents per kwHI just noticed that it is now cents per kwHNo notice was givenThe rep I am on the phone with now, who seems quite nice and I know is just doing her job, admitted that they never sent me a renewal letter, and because they did not send me notification they are going to refund me the difference back down to the rate I was initially offeredShe also explained that I switched to a variable rate plan which is why the rate increased, since they know winter is comingThat doe not make sense that you increase rates in Sept-Oct for the upcoming winterOnce I have my refund I am switching back to ***To put things in perspective, my month average bill with *** as supplier was less than $The last two bills, with NAP as supplier, were $and $121, as compared to the same period in when the bills with *** as supplier were $and $The numbers speak volumesAvoid this supplier

As they say, I signed up with North America Power on Dec Jan 2014, I received my first bill from North America Power However, it takes two billing cycle to cancel? How does that make sense? They are able to take my money right away, but they can't cancel right away?If you look at what I have paid for three years prior to North American and what I ended up paying with North American, it doesn't compare at all Look at the average rate and bill I paid three years prior to North America Power The year North American Power took over, I paid over $more in In addition, if you look at the projection, I am already about 3/into my annual bill within first months of North America Power's charge This is why I believe their company is a scam How can they be so much higher?? Not to mention, when I originally called with my concern, they were only willing to offer to lock me into another one year contract at a rate that was still higher than what *** would have charged!!! How is this not a scam????In addition, My Dec bill did not include a meter reading from North America Instead, this was added to my most recent bill in March As a result, I only paid $in December and I received a bill in March for $ Is this another scam tactic to hide how outrageously high their rates are?? Because if my bill in Dec was over $as it was suppose to be, I would have noticed the concern earlier Look at how much higher North America Power's rates are compared to what I had been paying with *** in and 2012, then with Direct Energy partly in I average around $annually in electric bills Yet, under North America Power in I paid $1610.23, 1.5x my average Then now in 2015, I paid $941.61, which is 3x my average!!!! Now, they want to just pay me off with less than $200? How is this fair? Then, I find out that there have been numerous complaints about this company's scam through Revdex.com
Sincerely,
*** ***

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
Thank you for helping with this issue Since filing the complaint they have only tried to contact me once.
Sincerely,
*** ***

Don't believe the hypeWe all want to save money on their electric bills and I am no exceptionAnd lets be honest, no one has any loyalty to their current electric companyBut I was fooled, I was promised this company and their supplier rates would never go above the actual local power companyI started to see that my electric bill was getting higher, but I thought I was the problemI just looked at my electric bill and saw that the bills I have with North American Power (I have many electric bills) were charging me were almost double the supplier rates of the local power companyI was lied to, do not trust this company

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:
Sincerely,

I requested an explanation and actual calculation before I accept offer my numbers that I calculated was and did not include my last bill which they told me also needed to be recalculated

Do not use them as a provider Low introductory rat then they more than doubled my rate No notification that this was going to happen although they say they mailed a letter Rate went from under $0.06/kwh to $0.13/kwh, which is more than 5cents above the standard choice offer from electric utility

The
following correspondence is made in response to the complaint filed with the
Revdex.com against North American Power and Gas
(“NAPG”) by Customer, Stanley Chen.
In the complaint, MrChen states he never received his renewal letter
following the expiration of his fixed contract and is displeased with the
variable rate charged
To
start, it is NAPG’s standard practice to notify its customers prior to the
expiration of their fixed contract and provide them with options to
renew. However, if the customer takes no action and/or opts out of
renewal; the Terms of Service indicates that their account will automatically
default to a variable rate plan. This was the case with MrChen
Our
records show the customer was indeed issued a renewal notice prior to the
expiration of his fixed contract and in accordance with NJ Rules However,
in the spirit of good customer service and to resolve this complaint, NAPG will
adjust Mr***’s charges for his December bill cycle and credit him the
difference in cost. He should expect a
call from an NAPG customer service agent no later than Friday, 1/9/to
discuss any other concerns he may have
NAPG
remains committed to customer service and satisfaction and hope this response
has meaningfully address this complaint.
Sincerely,
Compliance
