Review: I brought my vehicle for repair because the windshield wipers stopped working. I ruled out a fuse problem. The mechanic said he would diagnose the problem and call me with an estimate. When he called he told me that it was going to be $215 dollars to repair. I immediately called him back for an explanation on the price. He told me he took out the wiper motor and the wires were "mangled" and he had to straighten them out but I did not need a new wiper motor. So I asked if im not paying for any new parts how was I up to $215. He said two hours of labor at $80 totalling $160 plus taxes and fees. I said dont do the work I will take my car and pay him for the diognostics and take it somewhere else. He told me it was too late most of the work had been done. I had my husband call back and after speaking with him, somehow the price was lowered to $160 plus tax. My complaint is that I shouldnt have been charged for two hours of labor on a routine minor issue and when no new parts were added to my vehicle. Also I was never given the option to decline services like the mechanic had told me originally. I never would have paid that price. In addition I was never given the option to await a new motor.Desired Settlement: I believe that they were trying to take advantage of the situation. I Do not think what they claimed was done to the car should have taken two hours of labor when all other auto shops in the area said no more than an hour to change the motor. I did not agree to the work. I dont know why my husband had to call before the price started dropping
