It would have been better if he had only made a counter-offer that would have been fair. He should not be able to use the business practices he employs on unsuspecting customers.  We were given prices for more than one item; why would someone quote prices that were not even in the realm of what we actually received?  My wife asked him point blank if we could set a reserve price and he assured her to her face that items never sold for that little that a reserve price was needed.  Really?  Let him know that we are not the sort of people who have ever let something like this go without getting relief.  I will be pursuing other avenues to find a remedy for this injustice.  Thank you for your time,  **

When we picked the merchandise I informed Mr. [redacted] that we sold all merchandise with no reserve. He inquired what he may expect the merchandise to bring at auction, and I stated everything sells for the high bid as indicated on the receipt he received at the time. is the buyers premium and not the sellers commission which is stated on our website and all of our advertising. I had informed him that this time of year was a slower time for auctions due to weather and less dealer participation, which it historically is. He even tried to send other items to the auction but I suggested on waiting till a better time of year to sell them which he agreed to. The receipt that he was given at the time we picked up the merchandise clearly states that all items are sold to the high bidder. None of these prices are predetermined and sell for what the market will bare.
