Beware of Hidden Charges!
We have leased 3 cars from this dealership but sadly will never do business with them again. We thought they appreciated our business . We recently bought our car off of our lease. Please beware that there are hidden fees which no one will mention to you. We were told that since Nissan was the owner of the car and they were selling it to us, it needed to be inspected for safety reasons before we could leave the dealership with the car. The car salesman never disclosed the price of the inspection- which was $1995! Shameful. Sadly this has happened at this dealership before. They have not changed their unethical ways even after being charged and fined by the NYState Attorney General for similar practices in the past where customers were charged hidden fees. We were never given the price (or told that it was an added fee) before they completed the visual "inspection". We wish we had known this before purchasing our vehicle through them. Hopefully this review will be helpful to others and you will take your business elsewhere.

I apologize for the delayed response to this complaint.I thought some time in between phone calls,voice mails, and requests to the customer would help in getting a response.Unfortunately we have been unsuccessful in getting in contact with this customer to understand this complaint.Once
we get in touch with this customer we can discuss the complaint to better understand exactly what the complaint is, and to try and come up with a amicable solution.Please assist us in getting the customer to call Nissan Of Garden City @ ###-###-#### and ask to speak with the General Manager or the Customer Relations Manager.Once in contact with either of these Managers a resolution can be soughtEither of these Managers have the authority to agree to an amicable solution

BUYER BEWARE!! This dealership employs all the sleazy practices you've ever heard about when purchasing a car and if you question their tactics you will end up getting a full blown attitude from the sales manager Scott who appears to have earned his position of "manager" by his ability to lie with a straight face From the intitial negotiations when they try to add $in unsubstantiated fees Then to the paperwork process when they continue to add fees without even telling you (ex"Optional" Total Loss Protection $400, Document Prep $which I only found out about when I asked the finance employee why he had me financing a larger sum than the total I was previously given)
And their biggest scam is in the finance department! They tried to give me an interest rate more than double what I could get by going to my own bank and when I told them I would get my financing from my bank at the prevailing interest rates instead they reneged on the deal and said if I did so they would increase the purchase price we had agreed on This all happened after they took a $deposit and transferred my insurance from my car to the car I was going to purchase Make no mistake, this is a planned tactic They are trying to have you invest your time, energy and deposit before they scam you at the finance department so that you will simply move forward with the deal They count on you being uninformed about your credit and current interest rates When I wouldn't fall for it the sales manager said "that's fine because they sell cars a month so they don't need me to buy a car and if some people are unhappy he's okay with that"
Needless to say I did not buy the car from them but if you plan on tying to please do your research, especially regarding finance, because their sales and finance team is NOT there to help you They are trying to pull one over on you at any chance they get Also, Nissan of Huntington is under the same ownership so I would venture to guess that this business model is employed there as well

I am still extremely disappointed with the way this dealership conducted business and would not ever consider returning, especially after the extremely pleasant experience I encountered at the dealership I ended up purchasing my vehicle from. When speaking with the [redacted], I was never even offered an apology for the actions of his sales staff.

I was promised at the time of the purchase that the bill for the miles gone over in my previous lease was going to be covered by Nissan of Garden City. About a month or so after the sale I received the bill in which I brought the bill to my sales man, Edwin. He then reassured me that they would take care of the bill. About a month after that I received a collections notice regarding the un-paid bill. After going back and forth with Edwin, the sales man and John M[redacted] on 10/**/2015 John left me a message again telling me that they would cover the bill. From 10/**/2015 till today 11/**/2015 the bill still has not been paid and no one will get back to me.
