Nichols Mechanical

Wyatt came out and within 15 mins. Had us back up and running. Wyatt is a true professional and great at his job. It is great that they carry a lot of the most common parts on the truck so they can get you up and running on the spot. Thank You.

I used Nichols Mechanical quite a bit, for several properties. David N does good work, it works, but he's a slob, he leaves big trash behind, whatever he's replacing, he leaves the old unit behind. I've never known a professional HVAC vendor to do that. His wiring is very sloppy too, I've posted photos on other sites.
But, the final straw, after a couple of years and several jobs, was his wife, "The Administrator".
Not a charmer.

A tech, from Nichols, was sent to my rental unit, by my home warranty company. My tenants were very displeased when Nichols did not arrive during the designated time and Nichols wanted to put off service, to their swamp cooler, till the following day. As my tenants would not be available the following day, Nichols finally did send a tech.

After analyzing the unit, the tech said the problem was not with the unit, but with the water supply to the cooler. As it's the same water supply throughout the condo complex his analysis proved faulty. He left the swamp cooling unit unplugged, left my condo, with the job incomplete and my tenants with no source of cooling. I then called their dispatch and again, they insisted it was a water source problem and refused to send the tech out to complete the job.

The following day, I hired my own tech, who went to the condo and was able to solve the problem in a matter of minutes (once they plugged the swamp cooling unit back in). It was a simple matter (in his words) of adjusting the cooler controls inside the condo. My tenants were happy, but again, I had to pay my own tech on top of what I paid as my home warranty deductible. .Very disappointing.
