my Name is *** and I am making this complaint for my 83 year old mother, ***. contact numbers and email listed are for me. I prefer not to have my mother involved in this. She suffers from severe Arthritis and was looking for some relief. She had sent away for information on the *** Unit to hopefully give her some relief. This business is located in Ontario. A representative attended their apartment in a Seniors complex in Nova Scotia. Of note, my mother also has cardiac issues and has a pacemaker. The representative assured her that the device did not have any affect on her pacemaker. She made the purchase on January 13, 2019 and received it the first part of February. After she received it she did more research with her pacemaker affects. The pacemaker clinic in Nova Scotia advised her not to use it. Also of not my mother spend $2932.50 on this product and paid in full via her ***. Also of note it was explained to her that All sales are final.
I have been in contact via email with a representative, ***. He tells me that they have done studies and their clinical Evaluation summary have shown no affect. These studies are based out of Australia and Europe. He tells me to follow links to share with the pacemaker clinic here in Nova Scotia. I cannot locate the links he is referring to and asked that he send me the link directly.
I cannot see how a business can charge almost $3000 to a *** senior with no chance to return the product if it does not or cannot work as promised.
I have copies of the emails as well as the receipt that my mother paid. The product is brand new and never been used.
Can you please advise if Revdex.com Ontario can help us with this.
looking for company to admit that product is not recommended by heart health experts in Canada. and that they take return of product due to that fact and reverse the charge to my mothers credit card.
In response to the daughters complaint for her mother we have given her medical information for our parent companies in Australia and Europe who work with similiar *** massage
Equipment.*** a letter from Dr *** MD from Sudbury,Ontario with his response to *** massage therapy for any pacemaker and who is a prominent heart expert in Canada. This equipment will give her mother relieve from her arthritis. As per email to daughter sales are Final.
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I am not happy with this response. To include their study from 37 years ago, which has personal information for either customer or patient.
Pacemakers and cardiac knowledge have changed drastically since then.
I do not trust this recommendation and clearance from a Dr who is listed as a MD, but on letterhead says he is Cardiovascular and thoracic.
We would like something concrete before I risk my mothers health.
Thank you

This is our Final Response regarding this case.In regards to Dr *** , credentials which include M.D.,M.S.,F.A.C.S.,F.R.C.S. (C) . CARDIOVASCULAR AND THORACIC SURGERY who recommends our equipment on any pacemaker.Kindly have *** follow the instruction that were emailed to you for her to get relieve from her Arthritis.*** was very happy with her decision. We feel
there is no justification to take back this product and it will provide her with long term benefits. We also just received a testimonial recently from a customer with heart condition that tells us of the great results she has received from this equipment expressing that
its the best money ever spent.
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
A customer testimonial, nor a Medical professional testimonial from 1982(which I will give you his credentials), does not reassure myself or my mother that there is no from harm using this product with pacemakers this century. Pacemaker technology has changed greatly since 1982. Perhaps if the company could find some recent research to back their product.
Further to that, we have not received a "to do" list for my mother ,from our last email communication, which was requested a month ago.
Respectfully
***
