Review: These loan sharks are very deceptive and relentless in their pursuit of getting my money into their wallets. If they are deceptive before doing business with me, how can they be trusted? I have asked them repeatedly to stop contacting me as I am not interested in their "service".Desired Settlement: No further contact by the business

Business

Review: I received a solicitation email from [redacted] ([redacted]) in Next level funding on January [redacted] 2015. I responded to their email and asked them about the process of getting business funding. I got another email from [redacted] ([redacted]) explaining me the process. Here is the email

“Good Morning,

It was a pleasure speaking to you in regards to getting working capital for your business. We are the largest [redacted] for unsecured financing in the northeast and the second largest in the U.S. In order to submit your file to our team of underwriters, I need the following documents AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. [redacted]s

[redacted]”

After this email I called [redacted] to ask him for the detailed process. I asked him specifically if they will pull my personal credit putting a hard inquiry on my credit. He told me that it will be a soft pull and no hard inquiry on my personal credit as it’s a Business loan. He also told me that there will be hard inquiry on my business credit using FID. We both agreed to the terms and I sent him all the necessary paperwork. Next day, I got emails from my credit monitoring service about multiple inquiries on my personal credit. I called NLF to discuss that and they did not cooperate at all. They told me that [redacted] gave you wrong information and it is a normal process to pull personal credit. I refused there offer and backed out. I made multiple attempts to talk them into removing these inquiries but, they told me it’s not possible for them to reverse it. I called credit bureaus and they told me that it is possible for NLF to reverse these inquiries by writing a letter. They didn’t leave me any option other than filing this complaint.Desired Settlement: These inquiries were not authorized at first place and hurting my credit. I want NLF to remove it from my credit by taking appropriate action

Review: WE HAVE REQUEST SEVERAL TIMES TO BE REMOVED FROM THEIR CALLING LIST.

THE CALLED ME TODAY 4 TIMES IN 5 MINUTES "SAYING THEY REPRESNT NEXT LEVEL FUNDING, AND THEY ARE RESPONDING TO CONTACT FROM US" WITH A DIFFRENT PERSON ON THE PHONE EACH TIME.

WELL I CAN ASSURE YOU THAT NEVER HAPPENED. WE HAVE NEVER CONTACTED THIS COMPANY NOR HAVE WE EVER ASKED FOR ANY FUNDING FROM THEM AT ALL.

THEY HAVE SENT WHAT LOOKS LIKE CHECKS TO OUR BUSINESS (FAKE BY THE WAY), WE DON'T WANT OR NEED FUNDING FROM THEM!!

WE HAVE BEEN IN BUSINESS SINCE 1927....I HIGHLY DOUBT WE NEED FUNDING FROM THIS COMPANY NOW OR IN ANY FUTURE.

IF WE NEEDED FUNDING WE WOULD CONTACT A LOCAL LENDER ANYWAYS.Desired Settlement: PLEASE STOP ALL FORMS OF CONTACT (PHONE, MAIL, EMAIL).

STOP INQUIRING ON OUR CREDIT RATINGS WITH ALL CREDIT BUREAUS IMMEDIATLY.

WE HAVE NO DESIRE TO GET FUNDING OR DO BUSINESS WITH YOUR COMPANY.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

THEY DID NOT SAY THAT THEY WOULD STOP CONTACTING OUR BUSINESS AS WE HAVE REQUESTED FROM THE VERY FIRST TIME THE CALLED OUR COMPANY. NEXT LEVEL FUNDING WAS CONTACTED ON 5/*/15 AND TOLD TO STOP CALLING OUR COMPANY. THEY HAVE MADE REPEATED CALLS TO US, SOMETIMES 3 OR 4 CALLS A DAY. I WANT IT STATED IN RESPONSE THAT WE WILL NOT BE CONTACTED IN ANY FORM (PHONE, MAIL, EMAIL, OR FAX) AT ANYTIME FROM THIS POINT ON. THE REPEATED CALLS THAT WE RECEIVE DAILY, BORDERS ON HARRASSMENT AND WE A [redacted] BUSINESS THAT DOES NOT HAVE TIME TO DEAL WITH MULTIPLE PHONE CALLS FROM THE SAME COMPANY THAT HAS BEEN ASKED MANY TIMES TO STOP CALLING US.I WANT IT ON RECORD THAT THEY WILL NOT CONTACT US IN ANY WAY AT ALL.

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me, as long as we do not get any more contact from this company in any form (mail, email, fax, or phone) and the matter has been resolved.

Sincerely,

Review: Next Level Funding has sent a check on my name and my company's name that looks authentic, but it is obliviously a fake. However, the fact that my company's name and my own are on that check represent an unwarranted risk to me personally and to our organizations as this junk mail could have ended in the hands of unscrupulous people who may want to simply our reputation by trying to cash or misrepresent themselves as officers of the company. I am sure that Next Level Funding understands the risks and damages caused by identity theft and misrepresentation of individuals and organizations, respectively, therefore, the usage of my name and that of my organization are not allowed by Next Level Funding for its deceptive advertisements. Based on the other complaints seen here, I would highly recommend to list this company as highly irresponsible for risking individuals and organizations reputations.Desired Settlement: Remove my name and that of my organization from any data storage, in premise or out of premise. Do not contact our organization directly or indirectly through any third party, the only exceptions is to notify our organization of the removal of my contact information and that of my organization in writing as evidence that the aforementioned outcome has been fulfilled by Next Level Funding.

Give this company a rating of F in Revdex.com for its deceptive and risky advertising to individuals and organizations.

Review: I spoke with next level funding for the first time two and a half weeks ago. They were very nice at first and assured me they could get my business funded. Rep named [redacted] helped me get started and process my application. Soon as that was done he said he would call me next day. Never got the call. Called his direct line multi pal times and left messages with no response. Sent emails to him as well with no response. Almost a week goes by and I call the company and ask to have a different rep. Now im told I will be dealing with [redacted]s [redacted]. Every time I speak with [redacted] which has been four times now, He says " let me give you a call right back" but never does. Today I made my final attempt to contact this company on the status of my application after being in the dark for almost three weeks. I called the main number answered by [redacted] and was told [redacted] was in a meeting. I asked if anyone ever gets any answers from this company and was hung up on by [redacted]. I would highly recommend working with another company if you expect to have any customer service. I just hope they are not a scam and selling off my personal info.Desired Settlement: Warn others to stay away!

Review: I continually receive junk mail in the form of a check in the amount of $67.400 along with a letter in which the first line reads "This notice certifies that our funding dept. has already approved (my company) for up to $250,000 in business working capital." This is misleading and the check looks legitimate as if it could be intercepted and fraudulently cashed.Desired Settlement: change misleading advertising practices

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.

Sincerely,

Review: I received an unsolicited check from "Next Level Funding" that looks completely negotiable for $59,750, dated 4/[redacted]/14, check number [redacted]. There are no stipulations on the back that if you sign it you complete a contract. It has detailed security marks and patented security features on the back in the endorsement section so it looks completely real. It includes "This check is void without a multicolored background on the front and the same background in the endorsement area. The check also contains and Artificial Knight (trademark) & Fingerprint Watermark." Below the "Fingerprint Security" section of the endorsement area, there is a whole section on the patents of the security features. If this isn't a real check, they tried really hard to make it look like one. The "this check is void if..." section implies that this check ISN'T void because it has all of those features.

It looks like there are no strings attached and that it was money due me. I had received a similar check from "Merchants Capital" dated 2/**/2014 for the same amount, so this looks very shady. It came with a promotional letter for "business credit lines."Desired Settlement: I want follow-up with:

- a full explanation of who is responsible for this and why

- changes to the marketing program so that there is nothing that looks like a real check included

- an apology

- no more of these checks!

Business

Response:

Dear [redacted],

Thank you for your concerns and we have shared them with our management and the marketing company which sends out these solicitations. The advertisement you received is a

notification, can’t be deposited and there is no banking information provided.

We have contacted the marketing company and they confirmed at 11:31 AM EST on 5/**/2014 that your mailing address was removed and they would no longer mail you any future offers.

If you have any further questions or would like to discuss this with the marketing company directly, we would be happy to assist you.

Wishing you the best,

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

The company has not acknowledged that the "advertisement" is deceptive because of the great amount of realistic detail on the check and the endorsement area, the fact that text on the back of the check implies that it is not a void check (and therefore a valid check), and that it is easy for the recipient to believe that this is a negotiable instrument.

The company has not apologized for the concern it has caused me due to the nature of this mailing.

While the company is taking me off the mailing list, it is apparently not taking any steps to modify its marketing tactic to take away the concern this deceptive advertising has caused me and others. It should include somewhere that it is a void check.

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

Sincerely,

Review: I went to Next Level Funding’s website on March **, 2014, and filled out an inquiry form to learn more about their business financing services. After some emailing and voice mail back and forth, I spoke with [redacted] (sales rep) on the phone. During the phone call he explained the services, gave me estimates for what I might expect for loan amounts, and answered questions I had. I specifically asked if the application process would include a hard inquiry that gets reported to the credit bureaus (Equifax, Experian, TransUnion), and [redacted] said no, there will be no hard inquiry, that they only run a soft inquiry. Because of that assurance, and specifically because of that assurance, I then submitted an application.

On April *, 2014, [redacted] reported a hard inquiry on my personal credit report to all the credit bureaus, for my Next Level Funding application.

On April *, 2014, I emailed [redacted], “…you promised the credit check would be a soft inquiry, not a hard inquiry. Yet, there was a hard inquiry posted yesterday. Please rectify ASAP. I never authorized a hard inquiry.” [redacted] then proceeded to email me two times about other topics, all the while ignoring my message about the hard inquiry. As a result, I emailed one more time on April *, 2014, saying "You’ve ignored my message about the hard v. soft inquiry. Please address ASAP.” After some back and forth via email about this, [redacted] then asked me (on April *, 2014) what he needed to do to get the hard inquiry taken off my personal credit report. I spoke with the credit bureaus and then passed along to [redacted] what I found by emailing [redacted] on April *, 2014 with "I spoke with TransUnion dispute department just now and they said that I need to obtain a written letter from “[redacted] INC” stating that they allow me to request removal of the inquiry. I imagine the other two companies have a similar process. I trust that you will furnish such a letter ASAP.” [redacted] then responded, still on that same day, with "I will reach out on Tuesday as I am not working Monday and will find out what is entailed to provide the requested letters.”

Then on April *, 2014 @ 1:48pm Eastern, I emailed [redacted] "I trust that you’re working to get me a written letter ASAP. Please advise.” because I had not heard back yet from him or anyone else from Next Level Funding or [redacted]. I then got an email that same day from [redacted], where he forwarded to me an email chain with himself and various people at [redacted], where they say they will send me the letter I requested.

On April **, 2014, I received in the postal mail a letter from [redacted] that just simply said my loan application with Next Level Funding was denied. It made no mention of the hard inquiry at all. So, I emailed [redacted] that same day with "I received the letter from [redacted] today. However, it did NOT contain the information I requested. I requested a letter where [redacted] gives me the authorization to have the credit bureaus remove the hard inquiry from [redacted]. However, the letter I got was simply a rejection of my business loan application. Please address ASAP.”

It is now May **, 2014, and during the 30+ days since my last email to [redacted], I have received no response; no email, no phone call, no postal mail, no voice mail, from anyone about this matter.Desired Settlement: A letter from [redacted] that authorizes all three credit bureaus (Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion) to remove the hard inquiry they placed on my personal credit report on April *, 2014.

Business

Response:

Dear [redacted],

On May [redacted] at 3:41pm EST, the [redacted] of [redacted] notified us that the letter was already sent to you. We are following up with them to get further information. We apologize for any inconveniences that may have been caused and we are working hard to help you.

Sincerely,

Review: This is both an advertising and customer service complaint. First your "Promotional" advertising is very deceptive to me. There is nowhere on the check that it is not a real check - it even states across the top "This check is void without a red boarder and background plus a candy cane & fingerprint watermark on the back - Hold at angle to view. These items are all present. Even though there is not banking account or routing numbers - this, I feel, is very deceptive.

The second complaint is, when I called to be removed from your mailing list, your agent hung up on me. I called back and the next agent said he would and asked for the Tracking Code. I gave it to him and then asked why you use such deceptive advertising, and he hung up on me. The third agent didn't hang up on me and when I asked him the same question, he said he didn't know.

The fact that your company is Accredited by the Revdex.com makes me think very little of them.Desired Settlement: At least print on the "Check" that it is not actually a check. And please make sure we were taken off of your mailing list.

Business

Response:

Dear [redacted],

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We apologize for the negative experience that you had, and want to assure you that it does not reflect our company’s values. We have investigated this matter, including review of the recorded calls. Unfortunately it appears that the first representative you spoke with did not handle your call in the most professional manner and acted contrary to our philosophy and policies. That individual is no longer with us. While we believe that the other two representatives you spoke with acted appropriately, each of them has been reminded of their obligation to handle every call in a professional manner and to treat each caller with respect and dignity no matter the circumstance.

We are also evaluating the marketing company that prepared and distributed the promotional item at issue, as well as the promotional item itself. This was in no way intended to be deceptive; rather, it was to notify you of financing options available if your business should be in need. It is our goal to ensure that our services are clearly conveyed in an accurate and non-deceptive manner. We have sent a copy of this complaint to the marketing company to verify that your address is removed from future mailings. Would you like us to send you a copy of their confirmation and their contact information?

Thank you again for bringing this to our attention. We apologize for any inconvenience this matter has caused you.

Sincerely,

Review: We received a check from Next Level Funding in the amount of $59,750.00 which appears to be a legal document along with a statement that we had been approved for a $250,000.00 line of credit. We have never requested the check that we received or a credit line from this company. I am concerned that someone needing funds would be able to cash this check without knowing any of the terms or repayment agreement as there was nothing stated in the one page information page that was attached to the check. In other words, I feel someone could find themselves paying at 40% interest rate without their knowledge. I have returned the voided check to this company, but feel this a very shaddy operation and they may cause great harm to all communities. Loan Sharking is illegal!Desired Settlement: Stop this process of loan sharking

Response:

Hello [redacted],

We do not have a record of your phone #, name or business name anywhere in our records and we have never called you. We have never funded your company and have no record of any information on your company within any of our databases. We have added your number to our database as a DNC number and notified all departments. We have sent your information to our mailing company to see if they have ever mailed you, and they can’t find a record of your business name, address or phone. If you would like their contact information to verify directly, we would be happy to assist. Your number is on the national DNC registry and that is part of our internal scrubbing process, so it would be impossible for us solicit you. We have strict marketing protocols and guidelines which all departments abide. I believe you are confusing us with another company. If you have other phone #s or information that you would like to send, we will research that as well. We have nothing on the information you have provided on this complaint. If you send us the caller id, copy of check, names of people calling you, we can try to assist in any way possible. Please email the information to [redacted]

I called and spoke with [redacted] on 2/**/2014 at 4:03pm and requested to be removed from their mailing list. He said no problem we will do that and then hung up the phone. (He never took any of the information that was listed on the on the approval letter that had been sent).

Hello [redacted],

Review: I was trying to establish a merchant cash advance with Next Level. The company quoted me one origination/application fee($300). I sent them an email to confirm that those were the only origination fees being charged. They confirmed. When the paperwork was sent out I realized that there were additional origination/application fees charged so I cancelled the deal. They had already taken the $300 from my account. I asked for the funds to be returned. Their representative said that they would be. An additional $300 was then taken from my account. The second $300 was later returned, but the representative changed his tune on the first $300, saying it would be used to cover expenses incurred.Desired Settlement: Refund of the $300 like their representative stated.

Review: I received a letter in the mail. Please read below. The problem that I have is the information is totally inaccurate. I called them to find out where they got this information they told me that it was from a UCC filing. I told them that we had not had a UCC filing. They told me that my bank probably filed one without my knowledge. I then told them that I did a UCC search and we have never had a UCC filing and that we had not had a loan for more than 15 years from anyone. They told me that my bank must have drawn a credit report on us. I told them not true. I then told them that I work for this bank and did not appreciate using the bank's name in their correspondence and especially since it contained inaccurate information. They said they would take our name off of the mailing list.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

I don't have to have my husband contact [redacted]because I am the Sr VP/Cashier and am responsible for both operations and compliance. We do not provide any information to third parties. The only public information coming out of our bank would be mortgage filings and UCC's, which we have no control over. We have not had a loan from this bank for over 12 years and did not apply for a loan in 2012 and was turned down as your customer service person suggested. I want to know specifically where this information came from. Thank you.

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

Sincerely,

Business

Review: Contacted via phone by Next Level Funding with a request to speak to the person in charge of financial purchases/decisions. I asked what the call was in reference to. In hearing and understanding that this was a 'loan shark' sales call, I requested that our number be removed from the call list. I was promptly hung up upon. Stop unsolicited phone calls and loan sharking.

Business

Response:

You have been removed from the call list and we are sorry for any inconvenience.

Thank you,

Review: ON 7/**/2015 BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 3:38PM AND 4:00PM OUR COMPANY RECEIVED 4 CONSECUTIVE CALLS FROM NEXT LEVEL FUNDING TELEMARKETERS. ON EACH OCCASION I PERSONALLY ASKED THAT WE BE REMOVED FROM THE CALLING LIST. EACH AND EVERY TIME, A TELEMARKETER PROCEEDED TO CALL BACK, REGARDLESS OF OUR REQUEST AND SEEMED TO FIND IT AMUSING THAT THEY WERE WASTING BOTH OUR COMPANY'S AND THEIR COMPANY'S TIME. THIS IS MY FINAL ATTEMPT TO HAVE OUR NUMBER REMOVED FROM THEIR CALLING LIST BEFORE TAKING LEGAL ACTION AGAINST "NEXT LEVEL FUNDING."Desired Settlement: PLEASE REMOVE OUR NUMBER AND INFORMATION FROM YOUR TELEMARKETING CALLING LIST.

Review: Wanted to complete a loan with Next level funding. Everything went fine till I found out I did not need the loan anymore and contacted Terry G[redacted] ( Sales Rep) at Next Level Funding. Informed Terry I would not be needing the loan due to the product I was purchasing fell through. I contacted him within an hour of completing all the steps for the loan. Terry informed me he will cancel it. After not hearing from him I sent him an email apologizing and told him exactly what had happened.

The next day I had seen the that the deposit into my account had been made. I tried calling and was unable to reach Terry. After numerours failed attempts to reach him I tried a different extension and spoke with Catherine at ext [redacted]. I explained what had happened and after a brief hold she informed me someone would contact me later in the day.

On Monday, the money was still in my account and the first payment had been automatically debited from my account. At that point I reached out to Terry and was able to talk him. I let him know that the money was deposited and that I have sent emails and nothing was being done. He told me he told whoever he was suppose to inform about the loan to cancel it and did not know why it wasn't. He assured me he would reach out to who ever he needed to and will follow up with me.

After doing a little research I found out that they were not the company the loan had been given through and no one had reached out to that company to cancel the loan. I will have a seperate complaint about that company in another complaint.Desired Settlement: I would like Next Level funding to be responsible for any interest [redacted] is charging us for not informing them within due time for not wanting the loan.

Business

Response:

Hello,[redacted] was notified of this error. We requested your cancellation. Thanks!

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

I spoke with 3 individuals at [redacted] and all of them stated no one contacted them. Also, if someone did, why didn't any one from Next Level give me a call back that day, the following day, or Monday telling me about this? If someone did speak to [redacted] I would like to know who spoke to who and how. Also, why didn't anyone at Next Level tell me to contact [redacted]? Please don't email me back with the he said she said. Next Level didn't care, they had what they needed to fund the loan and that was all. Show me proof that [redacted] was contacted before the deposit date or Friday about cancellation and that will settle this case, if not due to refund me the money I had to pay [redacted] to close the loan. [redacted] charged me over $3,000 just to close it. I have the bank transfers and the letter from [redacted]
