Edgar knowingly failed to replace the thermostat when he replaced my radiator. So my van continued to run hot even after he replaced my radiator. *** stated that it was not the thermostat but the intake gasket. *** replaced the intake gasket. The same day my van began to smoke, then the next day it began to run hot and smoke. *** reply to my text with photos is that it is not the radiator and then he questioned if I let my van run hot? Well I am confused because he "fixed" both issues. *** told me I could continue to drive just carefully not to allow the van temp to run hot. So after to speaking with two automotive shops and one mechanic I found that it could be the head gasket. This is major work and requires a machine shop for the cylinder. *** came to relook and was angry telling me that I am getting on his nerves. Then he too made the determination that it is the head gasket, now the advice was based on my explanation of what was occurring, *** physically looked, checking my oil and adding more coolant then stated that he was not touching my vehicle anymore I will have to take it to a shop. He broke my oil dipstick and refused to assist me further by checking my thermostat. His final words to me " I'm sorry there is nothing else I can do". I have paid this man for a service and the entire time he did a half job then broke something he is now refusing to fix.
The problem was a hose and the thermostat not the head gasket.
