Review: On May 7th we checked into the Newburg Campground. Rent was $700 and she ([redacted] - owner) informed us that we had to pay a $500 deposit. She continued to state the reason for deposit was due to a fellow Rv'er left in a rage and tore up some wires, sewer etc. No problem we "paid" rent + deposit for total $1200. On June 7th my husband was transferred for work so we went to [redacted] for a refund. With a signed receipt for her and a copy for myself I have yet to receive my refund. I have called and spoke with [redacted] on June 17th as it was 7-10 days past. She informed me that she would contact her bank and find out what was going on. The rest of the week I never heard from her and tried calling every day that week along with a message and trying the "number" listed on recording. No word from ANYONE at the campground so I went and filed a dispute with my bank. They have tried contacting the campground as well and will be the ones issuing my refund. I'm not asking for assistance was wanting others informed of the shady practice this company offers. Funny they opened a "new restaurant" while we were there - they are and have made money off the Pipe liners that have traveled through!Desired Settlement: My bank has taken care of this - refund to my bank would be nice!

Response:
On June 06/07/2014 I refunded her $500.00 on her credit card. On June 16th she called me and I told her I would check into it. I was busy with the new restaurant and I forgot to call the credit card processing. On 07/10/14 I managed to call the [redacted]. As we did some investigation with the company, they told me the Security Department had a hold on the transaction, as she had not purchased anything to require the refund of such an amount. They gave me the last four digits of the card and I looked back into the cards. Her husband had paid the $1200.00 on his card. She did not leave me messages all week like she said she did. I tried calling her and her husband, to tell them, they gave me the wrong card and they have never returned my call. I will send her a certified check, that they will have to sign for, so there is no lying about receiving it. I do not run a shady business, as I have been in business for 31 years. The company they work for, said they would send letters in my behalf if I need them too. I will make the check to the husband as it was his card^ and I do not know who they bank with.
