Review: On June **, 2013, New York Unique Contracting submitted a proposal to perform work at our property in [redacted]. The proposal was agreed to at full price with the only caveat being that the work be completed on or before August **, 2013. The first installment was paid on July *, 2013 and two additional payments were made in furtherance of our agreement. To date, the work remains incomplete and unsatisfactory as it was not performed according to the specifications of the agreement and work that was performed was not in accordance with industry standards. It was crucial that the work be satisfactorily completed on or before August **, 2013 in order to take advantage of favorable weather conditions so that we would avoid the rainy season, which would likely result in water damage to the building. Its failure to satisfactorily complete the work within that time frame did, in fact, result in considerable water damage occurring in several apartments, which must now be rectified at additional expense. Our employee who was assigned to oversee this project, informed them on numerous occasions that the rubber roof was not properly installed and that corrections were necessary in order for the job to be satisfactorily completed. Their failure to properly install the rubber roof has caused considerable water damage to several apartments. As a result, we do not consider the work to be complete. Moreover, the work on the fire escape was not completed in the manner specified by the agreement. They failed to scrape the fire escape; did not sand the fire escape; and only applied one coat of paint without applying a coat of primer to the fire escape. The work on the fire escape is also considered incomplete. We are extremely disappointed with the quality of the work and that the work was not done according to the specifications that had been proposed and we agreed upon. We require that you reimburse us the amount that we have already paid to you and remove the Mechanic's Lien on our property.Desired Settlement: Refund of money paid and damages for the work that will be required to repair the house.
