market so it fluctuates often. The price now will be differentlater based on the market movements. The market these few months have been reallyhorrible. That morning I got a call from the customer asking about the price and I said yes it is 140a ton at the moment. He didn't say he like my prices or that he was coming to scrapanything. However, about half an hour later I got news from my buyer at the mill that theprices for metal have just drop down to $135 a ton. So as a business I changed all theprices in my system accordingly to affect the price change otherwise we would be buyingat a loss. Often people ask for quotes but they usually tell me that they will be comingand I hold on to that price even if the market drops.Later, when he came in to scrap his metals after he unloaded his metals and came to getpayments I told him about the bad news and explained to him but he just keep saying thatI should pay him for what l quote and left. After a few days I got the letter as well and gotback to him and told him I wouldn't want that little incident to affect our businessrelationship and I told him I would reimburse him the difference. His load at 140 a tonshould have been $54.55 total and instead he was given $46.80 and I hold him I will givehim the $7.75 difference and we move past it.His reply is "I don't care about the money or your apology, you are dishonest and I willcontinue to tell others."
