Excessive, predatory service charges for service visit
A little over a year after spending $for a installation of an auto garage door opener, the door became misaligned and would not close all the way ( talking inches) I called New England Overhead Door to schedule a service, call not wanting to risk further issuesThey informed me that a service call would be $to show up and assess the situation with potential for additional costs for parts and labor to fix anythingThe service tech was gone in minutes, and simply pushed a few buttons on the motor to "reset" the deviceThis mins and resetting the motor cost $120.00!!! For a min visit I was charged $I was not informed there would be an additional "$120.00" min on top of the $chargeI don't even think the tech turned off his truckThis information about resetting the device could have been shared over the phone before sending someone out for a min of $charge ($of which I was informed about) Do yourself a favor and avoid using New England overhead to assist with your garage doorNot a great way to assist your customers

They informed me that a service call would be $79.00 to show up and assess the situation with potential for additional costs for parts and labor to fix anything. The service tech was gone in 10 minutes, and simply pushed a few buttons on the motor to "reset" the device. This 10 mins and resetting the motor cost $120.00!!! For a 10 min visit I was charged $199.00. I was not informed there would be an additional "$120.00" min on top of the $79.00 charge. I don't even think the tech turned off his truck. This information about resetting the device could have been shared over the phone before sending someone out for a min of $199.00 charge ($79 of which I was informed about) Do yourself a favor and avoid using New England overhead to assist with your garage door. Not a great way to assist your customers.
