I ordered two pairs of glasses on July 31st, 2017. One pair was through my insurance, ***, the second pair was being paid out of pocket. Twenty minutes after I left the office, I called to change the order. I left 6 messages on answering machines and with the receptionist between July 31st and August 2nd to not place the order, I wanted to make the change. On August 2nd, I left a message for a manager to call me. On August 2nd I received a call from *** in the optical department t informing me the order had already been placed, my out of pocket glasses were already made and it was too late to make changes to my order. I asked to speak to a manager and left a message on their answering machine. *** did return my call, and scheduled a new appointment to make the changes and reorder the glasses.
On August 2nd I returned to order the glasses, but nobody was in the Optical department, so the Dr. took my order with a promise the *** would place the order and call me that day. Nobody called me back to confirm my order. After numerous calls with nobody returning my call, I spoke to a different manager on August 17th. She told me I needed to speak to *** & she would have her call me. *** told me there was an issue with my insurance, but it had finally been resolved and 1 pair of glasses was being made & the other frames should returned from *** on the 21st. My glasses should that week.
One pair of glasses were finally picked up on August 29th, but were made incorrectly and needed to be returned. The 2nd pair of glasses were still not in. I asked for a manager to call me. No manager called me.
During this one month period, I tired contacting New England Eye & Facial specialist concerning my glasses over forty times. Each call I left messages on answering machines, with the receptionist, and with the answering service. I left messages for both the optical department and for managers, with no return calls.
On September 1st, I called *** and was told they had only received the glasses order on August 30th. On August 4th I finally spoke to *** again. He promised to look into the problem. He offer to refund me $100 for the “misunderstanding” and my glasses would be in that week. I did receive both pairs of glasses on August 11th. But I have not received the $100 refund that I was promised.
