I was hired as a part time employee to demonstrate food products in Phoenix, AZ. When I arrived at the store I discovered that the key items needed to do the demonstration were missing. I called the owner/manager and relayed my problem and she said if I would buy the missing items and send in a receipt she would reimburse me. I did so in good faith. I showed the store manager that I had left the items in the appropriate place upon leaving the store. I carefully documented my expenses and sent in the necessary proof of purchase but I was never reimbursed. The company also said they would reimburse me for required training sessions which I paid for but then said they never received the answers and refused reimbursement for that.
