Relating to this issue, the single crack the client is referring to is a non preventable hairline crack, very common in every cement workThat is why we add the control joints to prevent the crack from growing, as
we do not know which way to crack will goUnfortunately, the hairline crack is a degree angle from the house, and with the stamp pattern (Large Ashlar Cut Slate) the client chose to use, we do not put in a degree angle control joint because it is not parallel with the pattern and would look even worse than the hairline crack
I explained to the client that our warranty was that once she's able to fit a quarter through the hairline crack and it is shifted a quarter of an inch, I would come back and happily replace section

It isn't just one crack, there's at least or and he's fully aware of thatWhen he came in to take a look at them (after so many unanswered calls) he told me that he was going to find some kind of a filling to match the color of the cement to cover those cracks so they don't get bigger or worstHe assured me that he would be calling me the following week to let me know when he was coming so I could unlock the gate for him and have him do the work in my absenceThe following week came by with not a call from him and to this date I have not heard fom himHe's very unprofessional and not to be trustedI am tired of getting the runaround from himIf he couldn't fix those cracks, I will demand some refundAt this point I'd rather not deal with himmaintenance.#***
