Review: On September 3,2014 I contacted Nature Scape Lawn Care Service about their advertised fall service special # 2 for $89.00. I had concerns from my last experience with Nature Scape not showing up for my service I had pre-paid so I called to make sure this time they would show up. They told me they would be there with-in two weeks, so I confirmed I wanted the # 2 service . I mailed them check# 20401 in the amount of $89.00 that same day in which they cashed. On September 29, 2014 I had not received any service from Nature Scape so I called to cancel and go with another lawn service. I talked to Amy and told her that they had not shown up and was going with another lawn service and before I could ask for my reimbursement of payment she hung up on me when I was in mid sentence... So my claim is for them to return my payment of $89.00 and not do business with them ever again.

Review: Tuesday, June 30, 2015

This is a complaint against NatureScape [redacted].

On 06/03/20015 Naturescape did a lawn application to our lawn which was a fertilizer and a triplet broadleaf W.C. On June 4 2015 we paid Naturescape with check number [redacted] the amount of $140.00. Less than 2 weeks later we noticed we still had many broadleaf weeds which remained growing all over our lawn. The company has in their brochure “if you ever have any concerns about your lawn or landscape, please call us and we will be happy to come out free of charge within 72 hours to take care of your concerns”. We have since called the company on three different occasions to come and respray our lawn without results.

The first call was made on June 15 in which my wife Sandy, spoke to a company representative Tricia, and advised her about our weeds and had several questions about our application. Tricia said she would send us some information about our application (which she did and we received on June 16) and someone would be out to spot spray our weed problem, no one ever came out.

The second call was made on June 22, again Sandy spoke to Tricia and told her that it appears our entire lawn needs spraying and again that no one had stopped over yet to spot spray our weeds. Tricia advised that it appears no one came because of the rain in the past week, Tricia also advised that whoever would stop over to spray our weeds will leave some literature in our door and flags in the lawn so we know someone was over to take care of our problem.

The third call was made on June 29 again; Sandy spoke to Tricia and told her no one had been over yet to spray our weeds. Tricia said she had a service call on her computer and she would call to let us know when they would be in our neighborhood. As of today’s date no one has yet shown up to spray. As you can see the 72 hour window to have concerns addressed has passed several times and still we have not had a satisfying resolution to our complaint.

We would like either a complete respraying of our lawn to control the weeds at no cost or a reimbursement of our $140.00.

Sincerely,

[redacted] & [redacted]Desired Settlement: Respraying of lawn to kill weeds or reimbursement of money paid.

Response:

We apologize for the service problems our customer encountered. Naturescape strives to provide the best customer service, but in this case we fell short. It is very important to us that our customers our happy with our service and their lawn. We appreciate our customer bringing this problem to our attention so we could attempt to resolve it. A service call will be done on 07/01/2015 to correct any issues on our customer's lawn. In addition Naturescape will put a credit on our customer's account for the last lawn application. We hope this will resolve this matter, and again we would like to apologize for the problems our customer encountered.

Review: Two years ago I planted a ball shape topiary bush "Evergreen" this spring I remove the burlap bag that was rapped around the bush, like all the other years, to protect it from the winter. The Bush was very healthy and green. Naturescape came shortly after I remove the burlap and sprayed my lawn for weeds and shortly after that the whole front of the Bush died. I contacted them five times , 2x talk to some girl ,3x left a message ,it's been over a 11 days now and no supervisor contacted me like I was told by the girl.

This bush cost me 95.00 dollar Plus my labor to install it and take care of it.Desired Settlement: To replace with the exact same bush, or give me $100 in cash.

Response:

We apologize for the slow communication and resolution of this issue. It is always our intention to address any issue of property damage immediately, and we regret falling short on this count. Our Muskego office has been in contact with the customer and, at this point, we understand that an acceptable resolution has been reached. If, however, this is not the case, or if there are any further questions or concerns, we will continue to work with the customer to achieve complete satisfaction!

Review: I purchased the 5 application lawn maintenance package. On one of the applications, the technician ran into one of our path lights with the machine, damaging the light. This was recorded by our home security camera. After hitting it, the technician hit picked up the light, which had flown several feet after contact, and attempted to put the light back together as best as possible and place it back in its place to appear undisturbed. The technician never notified me of the damage.

Several days later, when cutting my grass, I noticed the damage to the light. Upon reviewing the security video, I saw that the Naturescape technician had damaged the light. I promptly contacted Naturescape via email, attaching the video and requesting a resolution. The company responded quickly, requesting that I purchase a replacement and send the company the receipt to pay for the replacement.

However, the light was part of a 6-light package, and the store no longer carried the package (or individual lights). As such, I was not able to simply replace the damaged light with a matching light. Therefore, on 7/21/2015 via email, I proposed an alternate resolution. As I was looking for fall overseeding service, I asked if the company would be willing to discount the price for overseeding any, in lieu of replacing the light. I didn't hear anything back and on 7/26/2015, I sent a 2nd email looking for a response. The company responded 7/27/2015, with the rep saying the situation was being reviewed by the regional manager and that they would be in contact with me as soon as possible. On 8/31/2015, after hearing nothing, I again inquired into the status. As of today, I have not heard anything back from the company.

I am disappointed in the company's business practices. After first having their technician damage our light and not tell us about it, the company has made the situation worse by failing to respond to my request for a fair resolution.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund in full for the season's service, or alternatively, a fair offer for a different resolution to this issue, keeping in mind that Naturescape's lack of customer service has caused me to spend more time on this matter than should be expected.

Business

Response:

We apologize for the damage to this customer's property, the poor communication from our offices, and also for the amount of time it has taken to resolve this concern. The customer's proposed solution (free aeration and overseeding) was very fair, and we should have taken more immediate action in confirming this. We will strive to improve this aspect of our business conduct in the future. As of this writing (September 17, 2015), we understand that the regional manager who oversees the Germantown branch has been in contact with this customer, and that we will be providing an aeration and overseeding free of charge by way of making up for the damage. We do hope that this resolves the complaint, but if this is not the case we will be happy to continue to work with the customer to find a solution.

Consumer

Response:

I am writing in reference to complaint ID [redacted]. I spoke with the regional manager for Naturescape Lawn care, who was very apologetic and made no meaningless excuses. He accepted fault without hesitation and was insistent on doing whatever he could to make things right. The sincerity of his response, his acceptance of fault without excuse, and his immediate offer to resolve this matter were impressive. The proposed resolution exceeds my expectations and this complaint may be closed.

Sincerely,

We have used Naturescape for Weed control for several years and have had success. I have had terrible results, however, when I've tried to hire them for my seasonal mowing. Today, I watched as the gentleman mowing went around my Adirondack chairs, didn't mow my entire front yard, and didn't even go to my back yard at all. The same thing happened last week. Terrible customer service and work ethic. I'm so disappointed and have canceled my mowing (2nd summer that I've had to cancel due to poor quality).

Being that my neighbors lawns looked so good and mine needed a little help, I asked my neighbor about his lawn service. He recommended Naturescape. Had nothing but positive things to say. I contacted Naturescape 3 weeks ago and have yet to have my lawn sprayed. Was told within 7 days. Nothing. I called back and was told it would be the beginning of next week...well today is Friday and still nothing! I would hope they would want new customers. Guess not! I will be searching for a new lawn care service this weekend. Hopefully I can get better customer service elsewhere!

Review: sent a full year payment to have lawn service done in a timely fashion according to there website. They have not showed up to control my weeds and take care of my lawn.Desired Settlement: want my full payment back and fix my lawn of weeds for free for the year as they waited to long and my lawn is infested with weeds

Business

Response:

We apologize for the delay this customer experienced. The first application absolutely should have been applied before the customer felt it necessary to cancel service. We certainly had no problem completing the customer's spring aeration on time, and the first lawn application should have been no different. We have taken steps to ensure that communication and organization at this branch improve so that we can avoid this kind of delay from now on. We have also reached out to the customer several times, but have not yet received a response. In deference to the frustration the customer experienced, we are refunding the entire amount for the 5-visit lawn program, as well as the full amount for the spring aeration that we completed. We hope that we have reached a satisfactory resolution, but if not we will continue to work with the customer until we do!

Review: Signed up for service in spring for there 5 step lawn service. sent them a check for the $239.00 and awaited the service, came to be about late may to early June I called them and asked if they were going to complete the service I had paided for and they said yes that because the spring was so wet they were behind. They sent someone out about a week later to do it, then we waited until begininng of July and had to contact them again to see if they were coming out to do the second of 5 steps and they again said that they were so far behind and they would get to it. I then contacted the Office and requested to talk with the [redacted] (that's what they called him name was [redacted]?) they said he was not in and would call me back, well that call never came and as a matter of fact I called the office a number of times and at different times of the day and he was always not available to talk and would have to call me back (again the call never came). So here it is Spetember and we have only had 2 appilcations of the 5 step program, and called the office and guess what He is not available to talk again and will have to get back to me. At this time I do not want their service but a full refund.Desired Settlement: Refund-Cash

Business

Response:

We apologize for the problems that our customer had with their service. The customer was contacted on 9/05/2013. We agreed to refund the full amount of what was prepaid for our lawn care service. In addition, as a sign of good faith, we offered to aerate and overseed the lawn free of charge. The customer was satisfied with this offer, and considered the matter closed. Again we apologize for the problems and we appreciate hearing about these issues, so we can correct this in the future.

Our lawn was sprayed this past Monday and they were given specific instructions to only spray the front yard because the chemicals are poisonous to our dog who frequently eats grass in the backyard. We discovered our request had been completely ignored as our dog has become sick and weeds in our backyard are now dying. The man who came sprayed our butterfly bush which we have had for 13 years and our vegetable garden, which is in a raised garden box, all in our back yard with weed killer and now the plants are dying and unsafe to use. I am not sure what the purpose was for spraying things that are obviously not weeds. We are worried for the health of our dog and extremely angry with the service as they sprayed whatever they felt like wherever they felt like even after being specifically instructed to only treat the front yard. Overall this was an awful experience from a terrible company.

Review: I use this company before last year for an Aceration service .I called in this year to set up a mowing service and also to have an analysis done on my yard I was told that they were out in my area already for the week and they will be out the following week. I received an analysis in the mail and decided to give a call in reference to it and also to ask when the mowing service will be done. I was told by the representative Jamie that it was already done and I asked her could someone come out or can we take pictures because my lawn was not mowed she told me they take the word of the person who did the service and she would have a manager contact me but in the meantime I have to pay for a service that I did not receive I decided to cancel the service going forward and told her to just send me the bill I'll pay it but this is terrible customer service that the complaint wasn't even addressed properly or no one would be sent out to see if the work was not done.

Response:

We apologize for the poor communication and confusion the customer experienced. We have contacted the local office and, as we understand it, the situation has been resolved. We will, of course, make a strong effort to improve our communication in the future. If, for any reason, the solution offered through the local office is unsatisfactory, we will gladly continue to work with the customer to achieve a satisfactory result!

Review: Naturescape provided lawn services at my residence last year (2013). During one of their application of product an area of my lawn was given too much product which resulted in the grass turning brown and this area died. I contacted Naturescape within days of the application to notify them of the problem. I was told someone would come out and take a look. I was notified that the lawn would come back in two weeks and if it didn't they would take care of it. Two weeks later there was no change in the area that was dead and I called to have Naturescape come back to my residences to fix the problem. They said they would be out to correct it and never showed up. I called them several more times and they never responded. This spring (2014) I was contacted by them to renew their service which I declined to do but brought up the problem from last year. Within the past month the manager called to tell me that they would come out this year and fix the area that was effected but still has not shown up to correct the issue. Naturescapes warranty states "Your Naturescape® specialist is committed to making you happy with our service and your lawn and landscape. If you are not completely satisfied with the results of our services or you have any questions or concerns, please call your area branch office and we will be happy to take care of them within 72 hours".Desired Settlement: Fix the effected area of my lawn.

Business

Response:

Naturescape apologizes that this matter hasn't been resolved. It is important to us that are customers are happy with their lawn, and our service. Our branch manager did contact Mr [redacted] today and confirmed that he will be out tomorrow to repair the areas. We were unable to repair the area sooner this spring, due to the weather. We apologize again that this matter wasn't resolved last fall.

Review: I have been a loyal, on-time payment customer of naturescape. This year, I paid 1/2 of my annual fees. When I called to cancel I was told it would take 6-8 weeks to get the refund? This is absolutely crazy. When I paid, Naturescape got the money that day. 6-8 weeks is horrible.Desired Settlement: I want my money back!

Business

Response:

Naturescape apologizes for the delay on your refund. We appreciate the many years of service, and would be happy to take care of any lawn care needs in the future. We will process your refund today or Monday, and have your refund to you within a few business days. If you have any questions or concerns, please call.

horrible service, the worst. I paid up front for 5 applications. Had to call and call and call to get them to come out and put on the first application. again, had to call and call to get them to come out and put on the 2nd application, and again with the 3rd application. leaves are falling off the trees and I still have not gotten my 4th application or the 5th. they will probably come out in the snow to do it. worse company I have ever hired. The receptionist is pretty much worthless.
they do however have a beautiful brochure - but my lawn looks nothing like that one.
I have actually had to spray my own weeds
I will hire someone else next year, or do it myself like I had been doing in the past.
This company is too frustrating to do business with. Keep your money people and do it yourself - you will be much less stressed out.

We purchased lawn care services from this company and instead of promoting healthy grass growth and weed control the only thing we got was dead grass and extremely healthy weeds.....and the company did not always show up when promised.

Review: I contracted NatureScape for their lawn care services (weed control and fertilizer) along with their mosquito control. After talking to them on the phone to set up my service I was told there was a 100% satisfaction guarantee. My lawn looked very nice before starting service with them and now it looks terrible. I called to voice my concern and was told they provide free spot treatments throughout the year to handle weeds coming in. The lady on the phone told me she would put in an ASAP for someone to come out and provide this service. I called back 10 days later to check in and find out when my ASAP service would be provided and there was still noting scheduled on their end. I was also told when I set up service that if I was not completely satisfied they would refund my money. I tried canceling today and was told that I will only get a refund on the unused treatments and that could take 2-3 weeks to process. I got nothing but excuses from [redacted] on the phone today. I want my full refund of $107.40 for the lawn services, not a prorated refund since I don't believe anything was ever done in the first place. I know you can not completely get rid of mosquitoes in the Midwest but as far as I'm concerned the mosquito treatment they provide is worthless. We got chewed up all summer long so I am definitely out the $96.75 for that treatment too. Please beware of Naturescape, this is not how a business should be ranDesired Settlement: I would like a refund!! I don't believe any service was even performed on my property. I believe they were just collecting money

Response:

We apologize for the poor results and service this customer experienced. The office response and results for weed and mosquito control cited in the complaint are unacceptable. We have addressed the office response issues, and we will continue to monitor this and all other branches to keep this kind of poor communication from happening again. Additionally, we will be re-training and monitoring to make sure that all of our services are being performed to our standards. Finally, we have issued a refund for the full amount of both the lawn and mosquito applications (a total of $204.15) as of today, September 16. This should be received in the mail shortly. We apologize for our inability to satisfy this customer's concerns and the necessity to cancel our services. All of our services are backed by a 100% guarantee that includes free service calls between visits. If the customer wishes at any point to resume services, we will absolutely make sure that this guarantee is honored. In the meantime, we hope that the measures we have taken will resolve this complaint. If this is not the case, we will strive to do whatever is necessary to provide satisfaction.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Regards,

Review: Good day. I'm beyond fed up with the lack luster service and on-going issues with NatureScape!

They are as follows:

A-1-27-16 Since the entry of the contract and full payment tendered, the techs were informed that they are not to place the invoices inside my front screen door. As it set's of my sensor! And to leave two yard flags in my yard, one at the end of driveway, and one at the mailbox by street.

B-3-15-16 On the first service Spring Aeration [Fredrick Dant-245808]. He set off my sensor by leaving invoice in front door. And even worse, they left the plugs laid on the sidewalk, street and by walk ways and in my drive way.

Besides being in disbelief, I called the home office to have the dispatcher send them back to sweep or pick up the plugs! And explained to the staff that needs to cease. I was assured that it would not happen again. And that a entry would be entered on my account for all future tech visits.

C-3-28-16 Lawn APP #1 [[redacted]-RT 257867] Shows up, sets off my sensor again [with invoice in front door]. I called the home office again while he was still at my home, and requested to speak to a site-supervisor. I was called back and spoke to Fred? Again, he assured me that this would be taken care of! And that I would be called by the tech, the day prior and not just left voice messages!

D-6-7-16 Lawn APP #2 [[redacted]-RT 257867] Shows up, sets off my sensor again [with invoice in front door]. I called the home office again while he was still at my home, and requested to speak to a site-supervisor. He also did not call and speak to me verbally! But left a voice message! And only left one yard flag!

E-6-10-16 Tree & Shrub/Spray APP #2 [Don C.-RT [redacted]] Shows up, sets off my sensor again [with invoice in front door]. Tech did not call and speak to me directly just left voice message prior to visit. I was awaken, and spoke to him, he stated that he thought that my front door was the side door! It was stated that a entry was to be on my account for this on-going issue! After he left, I went to check the work, and seen that he left rose pellets all along my front door step that he had blown off the bush by the spray! That showed no regard for my home or me as a customer!

In closing, thus far I'm at the least displeased, that after months of the same listed issues. And with speaking to the Indianapolis [South side] site supervisor. They still occur!Desired Settlement: It's my request to have the company honor my listed issues as the customer and home owner. Also to have the Fall pre-paid Aeration service to be applied to another service. Finally, be credited with 2017 lawn care services, as a show of "Good Faith" that the company failed to show thus far!

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I wanted to reach out your office, and relay to you that the matter with NatureScape is mutually resolved.

I have used several lawn care companies over the past 30 years and after using NatureScape Lawn care in Louisville for the past two years and having a consistently GREAT experience with this company, including today, I felt compelled to post a positive review! Their office personnel are attentive, prompt to follow-up, always courteous and simply go the extra mile. Today, they called me to give me a heads-up that my lawn was scheduled for a treatment in a week and called particularly because they know a blanket of leaves might impede their ability to treat the lawn and wanted me to know that I could reschedule. I have never had a lawn company provide that sort of courtesy call in October before and it was just one more example of NatureScape's excellent service. I highly recommend NatureScape in Louisville to anyone looking for a new lawn care company for their home!

Review: There were several promblems but it all stem around communication. The first time I had the complete lawn ariagation and they only did half of the lawn. The second time I contact the company on the service and charges for their 5 fertilizers application and they just cam out and started the service before they even talk to me. The third time is when I requested lawn service and they stated they couks accommodate the day and then the gentleman stated he was only in the area on certain days and stated I need to look for another service. I dont feelthe company is poor it is the personal with poor customer service in the Merrillville Indiana office.Desired Settlement: I would like this company to resume there service on the day that I need service with the same prices. The company never return my calls and the gentalman who contact me regarding the lawn service state he could accommodate me on the day I need my lawn service weekly. This is poor business if you cant service the customer. Also for the company to have better communication and to accommodate the customer.

Business

Response:

We apologize for Ms. [redacted]'s unsatisfactory experience. Due to the high demand for mowing service, as well as the need to keep a regular schedule for this service, it is generally not possible to accomodate requests for specific days in advance. However, our representative should have made this clear immediately upon Ms. [redacted]'s request, and we regret that this was not done. We can also see how, on the heels of the misunderstanding about the request for lawn applications and the mistake made with last year's aeration, this lack of communication does not speak well of our company. We want to make it clear that this does not represent our standards, and we have taken action to ensure against this sort of misunderstanding in the future.

Review: We elected to go with another company that my son works with. We prepaid this year and changed prior to any lawn care service was rendered at which time we applied to have the prepaid funds returned to us. That was Mach 19, 2015 and was told it would take 6-8 weeks to receive.

As of today Thursday June 4, 2015 we have received only the “check is in the mail” response.

We see that the Revdex.com is on your web site and can only hope that they in turn will see that we are being treated unfairly. This has been forwarded to them.

In the mean time as we had the service I had no issues, but I have told several folks if they don’t want the same issues NOT to prepay. Very bad for your company, very good for competition!Desired Settlement: Recieve the refund from prepayment of services not used.

Business

Response:

We apologize that our customer has not gotten their refund in a more timely manner. We want our customers to be happy with their lawn and our service, and we fell short in achieving good customer service in this case. We have sent out a full refund to our customer, and it was mailed on 06/05/2015. As a show of good faith we would like to offer a free lawn aeration this fall. Simply call your local branch and this will be done for you at no charge. Again we are sorry for the problems our customer had, and we hope the steps we have taken will resolve this matter.

I [redacted] want to cancel future service with your company, for the last 2 mow visits I have been disappointed in how my yard was mowed, compared to my neighbors on each side of my home and the residences behind their yard looks totally better than mine, your service guy keeps mowing over paper and debris without even picking or raking up left behind garbage. Last Friday May 30th the service guy 1/2 [redacted] mowed the yard properly, my neighbor complained to me how awful it looked especially being on the corner lot and the excess amount of paper he shredded over. There was no need to call and complain because when I did about the amount of Spring Cleaning when I received another 1/2 [redacted] completion I was told a lie by the service guy that I was satisfied how can a customer be satisfied and I sent in photos to show another guy came out seen for himself left a apology letter and all I received was $10.00 of a $74 dollar charge which your company tried to over charge me to $82 an additional $8 now that's a rip off when I was quoted by [redacted] $74 for spring cleanup and I called her several times to complain and what did that get me....nothing
Now your company statement states:
"The Naturescape®Guarantee
Your Naturescape® specialist is committed to making you happy with our service and your lawn and landscape. If you are not completely satisfied with the results of our services or you have any questions or concerns, please call your area branch office and we will be happy to take care of them within 72 hours."
I still wasn't satisfied and no rectifying of my situation to where satisfaction was sure not guaranteed. I don't know how many clients you cover in Merrillville and how those customers yards look but I bet in Merrillville their yards look nice and represent your company's name business and credibility but people seen how sloppy my yard was attended too, they laughed and that's bad business word of mouth and even though I don't live in Merrillville my yard should have darn sure looked as if I did.
Your service guy needs to be properly trained in doing yard work and again the services you have already provided is no longer needed or requested thank you for your time in reading and I already submitted payment for $179.00 for the 5 application service I am just paying for the 2 services you done @ $35.80 ea. = 71.60, the spring aeration @ $59.00 = 59.00, mow service 2 @ $34.00 ea. = 68.00 and the spring clean-up for $64.00 (-$10.00 discount) Grand Total = $262.60 deduct the $179.00 leaving a balance to your company in the amount of $83.60
You will be receiving that payment at a later time but again your services are no longer needed I will find another company that cleans-up after themselves, mows properly and the residence are happy and pleased with what they pay their hard earned money towards and to not get that type of full service I could have saved myself some money and let the neighborhood kids cut it because that is how it looked not professional business type of work at all, at all.
Dissatisfied very...

Look what I read on another complaint and the Manager act like giving me my due credit was
out of his pocket and attitude really then I read they have done this...wow a slap in the face
and this is my 1st and last time using this company...my darn neighbors laughing at your company work...
"Business Response: We apologize that our customer had problems with their service. It is very important to us that our customer is happy with our service and their lawn. We also appreciate that our customer has been with our service for the last 9 years. We want to correct these issues and provide a quality service. On 5/08/2015 we issued a refund to our customer for their first lawn application. In addition we provided a free service call to respray the weeds on their property. We hope this response will resolve this matter."
Yes, I did have things laid all around the back yard cages, bike, water hose things like that because I never knew exactly what day or time your service guy was coming I mean I was told a date then when it rains it gets pushed back and last week yes I had a lot going on and those things could have been moved if I knew you were coming remember the 1st time no rain your service guy stood me up...Thank you
My first time using their services and its not a great experience...
