Consistently Good Experience
I have ordered a number of plants native to my area and - in truth - not all of them turn out to be viable but when you order bare root plants, especially before or after the growing season, you don't anticipate 100% of plants to thrive. Plus, oftentimes the nursery sends extra roots for no charge. My most recent order of shade-loving bare root plants (hepatica, wild geranium and wild ginger) arrived promptly and in good shape. So, I'm looking forward to the shadier part of my garden filling up. Thank you.

Quality/Quantity Concerns
In July 2023, I first ordered Virginia Bluebells, Jack in the Pulpit, and Indian Pinks. The second order was for White Violets, Trout Lilies, and Spotted Wintergreen. You can only order plants as bareroot/bulbs/corms in packs of three (3) even though they give a single purchase price on the website. When you click on it your only option is three or more. A little annoying, but I considered the fact that they are not growing plants. I placed the first order on 7/14 and received it on 7/22. I planted promptly within 24 hours and kept watered throughout the summer. To date there has been no sign of life from any of the plants. The second order I placed on July 19 and received the White Violets and the Trout Lily. I say I received one of each not three as paid for. The corm for the violet was one long string about 1.5 inches. I received several dirt clods and one Trout Lily bulb, quite small. I did not receive the Spotted Wintergreen until October 7. I received the appropriate amount. They are bareroot and I placed them in water before planting. I contacted Native Wildflowers Nursery via email to express the lack of items in my second order (white violet/trout lily) I did not receive a response. Those two plants have also not shown any signs of life. I don't necessarily expect bulbs to show life once they have bloomed, but I transplanted several bulbs this season and they grew new shoots. I would have expected the violets to show at least, but nothing. I will not be ordering anything from this company again. Sadly disappointed.

Very Good First Experience - So Far
I ordered several plants from this nursery - for the first time. I expected the plants in October, but they were shipped early. I was worried a little bit due to the hot summer we are having but the bare roots and the corms arrived in relatively good condition. I soaked them in water for some time and then planted. The Black Cohosh is already growing leaves. The native orchid will probably do the same in September. I really like the variety of native plants that the nursery offers and will most probably order again. I'm glad I found it.

Satisfied Customer
I was most pleased with the Indian Pinks I received from Native Wildflowers Nursery. Not only was the delivery speedy, they were well packed, and I even received extras! How very kind. I will most certainly do business with them again. Native plants are wonderful for our pollinators - the key to gardening success.

Order 30 bushes based on what was described on website. The quality of plant was not even close to what was described. Purchased 30 Mountain Laurel plants from Philips Sons Nursery on 4/4/17. The quality of plant was not what was advertised on its website. I contacted them are returned the plants. They informed me that the Company policy was no refunds only store credit which was displayed on website. I told them that I was mislead about the quality of plant and had no interest in store credit. *** reviewed my complaint and reversed the charge on my account. I believe they intentionally mislead the quality displayed on its website.

Desired Outcome

To have the credit collection company employed by Philips Nursery to stop its harassment tactics and nuisance phone calls.

Native Wildflowers Nursery Response

The customer was refunded by their issuing bank. We have no further business to discuss with customer as they received their money back.
