[redacted] Customer received a door with "tan streaks" in it. A few weeks later, more doors began to show signs of the same "tan streaks" forming. The issue is absolutely covered by our lifetime warranty but was, unfortunately, not processed in a timely manner by our claims department. Our Claims department was in the process of moving from California to Tennessee and there were indeed delays on all claims as new employees were hired and trained. After the customers contacted the store to alert us, we reached out to our Customer Care department to elevate the claim. The claim was elevated after a few contacts and replacement units were sent to customer, who received them on February 1st. Last contact from customer stated the replacements units "were wrapped very, very, very securely" and that they "did get through a few and the doors look[ed] beautiful". As for the customer's request to receive $200 for labor, we are not in a position to offer such a refund as our terms and conditions of warranty state that "This warranty is limited to the replacement of defective parts and does not include service, labor, or transportation charges related to the removal or installation of defective parts." Working with this company is a nightmare. It was 2 long years of trying to get phone calls returned by the owner herself, who was handling our case. Then our accounts were being turned over to lawyers offices, because she wasn't contacting them. In the end, she lied about how much was owed on an account with an attorneys office. She would never return phone calls, emails, etc. and now we are left with a huge balance.
