My eyewear provider has tried to process our claim several times and NVA has repeatedly given her incorrect information and other instructions for her to complete. They always seem to find a reason to not process the claim and require her to do more instructions. She is very frustrated and so are we. She has been in the eyewear business 26 years has never had this much trouble trying to file a claim with any other vision insurance company.
Ms. indicated in her complaint that her Eye Care Provider was having difficulty submitting Ms. claim for glasses to National Vision Administrators (NVA). I have spoken to Ms. and NVA's Vice President of Professional Services has reached out to the Provider to assist her in joining NVA's network and submitting the claim. I also sent an email regarding the status of this matter to Stephanie W, the Revdex.com staff member assigned to this case, and copied Ms. at the email address she provided in her complaint. I believe this matter will be resolved shortly to the member's satisfaction.
I submitted a claim to be reimbursed for eye glasses I purchased out of network. I have been told by the company that this type of request is quite common. My insurance was through *** in 2017. I submitted two claims for eye glass reimbursement of $120 ($60 each) total for the dates 10/04/17 and 10/11/2017. The initial check never made it to my home. Received conflicting stories on where it went. Contacted business and I had to resubmit claim after 45 day wait period to confirm checks were not cancelled. I was told on 1/4/2018 checks would be issued on 1/15/2018. Was told checks were processed on 1/31 2018 (Check #*** and check # ***) claim number ***. My insurance ID #*** Group # ***). I have been told the check is in the mail. After making multiple requests to have my money returned - I am asking for your help as this company is not reimbursing me based on my insurance agreement with them. This company is basically giving me the run around and is ripping customers off expecting them to stop requesting benefits they are entitled to expecting them to give up and pocketing the money.
NVA issued reimbursement checks for the claims submitted by *** to the address on file in our system. The checks were returned as undeliverable, NVA has since been in contact with *** confirmed the correct address for mailing, and reissued a check for the full amount requested. We believe the member is satisfied with the outcome of this matter and NVA considers the matter resolved.
