Review: We were charged multiple times for overdraft fees adding up to $450 just in overdrafts in a few days. Instead of letting us know they just kept letting us pull money, no calls no emails to let us know. The manager was very rude at the [redacted] branch and would not help at all. I know the branches make money of people without telling them the full details of overdraft coverage. We were charged multiple times $35 for a $1 transaction. This is the worst bank I have ever used. Take advantage of people.Desired Settlement: I will pay first overdraft and what money I spent but not $450 in overdraft.

Review: I have been banking with National Penn for close to 20 years. Within a month period I was charged $266 in overdraft fees. This may not be much to everyone but as a single mother who works 65 hours a week with no help it is a TON of money. The problem occurred when my account received $156 dollars in fees. I never received a courtesy call or letter in the mail stating my account was drafted the fees. Since I was unaware of the four $38 fees I went in the negative again and was charged another three $38 dollar fees..... yes another $117! When I called the [redacted] branch where my family and I have been customers for over 20 years and asked why I was not called or notified by mail and asked if I could have help with any of the fees I was told they would check and call me back. I requested a call back as soon as possible since I paid my electric bill and needed to know if I needed to deposit more money so I wouldn't receive more fees. I didn't hear back from them until this morning (24 hours later) and was told there was nothing they could do. I asked if my electric bill had posted yet and was told it is processing and "They do not think I should get more penalty fees" if I make a deposit right away. I am upset that I did not receive proper notification when my account went into the negative or even a courtesy call. I am also disappointed that after doing banking with this branch for close to 20 years they would not work with me at ALL. I think it is time to make some bank changes.Desired Settlement: Any help would be greatly appreciated.......

To Whom It May Concern:
Regional Retail Director spoke with customer on 2/3 to her satisfaction. Customer has a history of regular overdrafts with the bank. She was counseled on the proper management of her banking relationship,
including the use of online banking to regularly review her spending activity. Although we have previously refunded significant fees as a courtesy, we did so again. Contrary to her complaint, customer
acknowledged in this conversation that she was given both written and telephonic notice of overdrafts.
