We reached out to this agency because my daughter showed an interest in acting and wanted to pursue training for this. We met with ***, signed a contract and paid $500 with the intent of moving forward. However after a few days, my daughter (who is autistic) changed her mind and requested not to go through with it. According to the contract we signed, if we cancelled outside of the 3 day cancellation period, we would receive a partial refund, which I accepted the terms of. I sent a post marked letter requesting my partial refund, and my daughter DID NOT begin classes, I even spoke with Mark Ewing on the phone who advised that he had received the letter and the "Corporate Office" would review and take care of the partial refund. 2 weeks later, not only had I still had not received any refund, but I received a bill for $1970 from a place called NATIONAL EDUCATIONAL ACCEPTANCE CORP, and when I try to contact them, at any hour of the day, I am unable to reach a live person. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. When I attempt to call to get a number for this "Corporate Office" I am either told that they will contact me or the call is disconnected. My daughter has not attended ANY of the classes and we even have correspondence from the "school" confirming this.
also registered a complaint with the Denver Revdex.com and *** has responded to that complaint. *** has received a refund of $350 to her credit card and her installment account has been withdrawn, with nothing due.
Thank you.
I graduated from *** talent center a little under two years ago, but eventually, I fell behind on my payments. Fast forward to the beginning of this year, I received a letter in the mail from *** claiming that if I would just pay $474.53 cents as soon as possible; they would eradicate the other half of my bill from ***. Obviously, my account at *** had been frozen due to me not paying on time before then; now that I have fully paid this company AND sent them proof MULTIPLE times, they still won’t unlock my account so that I can access jobs to at least attempt to start a career. I have contacted the *** MULTIPLE times; the director is extremely unprofessional and avoided calling/emailing me back for FOUR months of me trying to contact her. Recently, she hung up on me and never contacted me again after I asked her to connect me straight to corporate after she had given me false numbers to try and settle this. I understand that this could’ve been avoided but life happens and I (eventually) did my part so I shouldn’t have to jump through hoops to access something I worked and paid for.
RE: ***Our Account Number ***Your ID 13***
Dear Sirs:
We received your letter dated November 5, 2019 regarding the above captioned debtor. We have reviewed this account and wish to respond as follows.
*** enrolled in training at *** on May 25, 2017 and completed her training on November 18, 2017. The payment terms contained in her Enrollment Agreement required 12 monthly payments of $158.15. Interestingly, the same month she completed training and graduated, she stopped making payments. She did catch up her payments briefly in January 2018, but after that failed to make any further payments. She failed to respond to repeated demand notices and phone calls and finally on July 31, 2018 her account was referred to a collection agency, Credit Control Systems for $839.06.
***’s letter states she settled her account for $474.53 which is far less than the full balance due. The collection agency fee further reduced the net amount we received to $332.17. This means our remittance of $332.17 to *** was $506.89 less than the balance due on her account with ***. *** has informed us that ***’s good standing with them will be reinstated when this balance is paid to them. Otherwise ***’s delinquency in paying her account will be rewarded with a $506.89 discount on the cost of her training program.
Settling with the collection agency may have cleared her financial
account and her credit standing, but it does not entitle her to the services for which she agreed to pay the full amount of the tuition and fees.
We appreciate the opportunity to provide a response to this complaint and will consider the matter closed unless we hear further from you.
