Review: I received in the US mail an envelope marked, "ANNUAL RENEWAL STATEMENT ENCLOSED." The Washington, DC return address does not indicate the business name. Inside is an official-looking, carbon-duplicate form with tear-off ends. Huge, bold red letters: "ANNUAL RENEWAL STATEMENT." Below that is a shaded box: "Instructions: Please indicate your renewal." with four check-boxes. The upper left corner has the second-largest print on the page, reading "Social Security & Medicare." Only by squinting can you see the fine print above that, reading "National Committee to Preserve." I have never donated to this group. They have never ASKED me to donate. How can I be told to "Renew"? I believe this mailing is designed to appear to be required by the US Government. I say that because of the overly complex duplicate format, the Washington, DC address, the words RENEWAL STATEMENT on the envelope and letter, and the commanding use of the word "Instructions" instead of "Request for donation" or words more appropriate to a nonprofit. This kind of approach, targeting seniors who might misinterpret the aggressive messaging, is disrespectful and manipulative, if not outright illegal.Desired Settlement: I would like a record created on the Revdex.com site for this company so that others can comment and see my notes.Thank you.
