National Car Rental

Hi, Reservations were made and when we came to the airport the woman who was in charge of helping us tried ripping us off and charging us money for a lot of extra things. My friend was covered by insurance with her credit card so we put the reservation under her name. Then to add my name the woman wanted to charge an additional $10 a day which we understood is policy. But then she started saying that I wouldn’t be covered by my friends insurance and I would have to be an additional $28 a day for insurance which I did research about and isn’t true. It’s one thing if she wants to sell me car insurance but to lie to me to try to get me car insurance just stopped me from adding my name as a driver. In the meantime she said there would also be another underage fee which I shouldn’t have had which no other places give and I had a coupon for and she didn’t honor. The main thing is that I give her my license and information and when she started adding all the added fees I said I don’t want to pay everything extra so don’t put me into the reservation.
When I left I did a lot of research and found out that I would be covered by my friends credit cards insurance that she used and I would have been willing to pay the $10 a day for an additional driver. So I called National and they said I have to come in in person to National. In the meantime it’s been ruining my vacation to only have one driver since we’ve been so limited and it was so unnecessary. We called back National and they wouldn’t assume to the reservation by phone only by coming in in person even though I had given my license to the woman in person together with my friend. I called National back and they said I can go into any enterprise or National it must be done in person. I Left my vacation to go find the nearest car rental which was far and it was an enterprise and it said it was open and I called before, and when I got there it was closed due to coronavirus. I called again and they said that the reservation must be done in person.
