Worst customer service ever! Do not buy your car from here!!! I bought a car and the same day it was leaking oil. I returned the next day and the supervisor Marcin agreed to fix it. They called me to tell me the leaks were fixed. I soon found out after leaving that was a lie. Then the engine light comes on. I took it back for the second time where they told me there were no leaks. I had to take it to another dealership to get a full inspection and they found plenty of leaks! This Volkswagen is full of liars and scammers. They refuse to give my car a truthful inspection and refused to fix it. They literally put no time or effort into fixing my car and tried to cover it up ever step of the way.
On November 25, 2019, I purchased a 2006 Jeep Wrangler from Napleton's Volkswagen in Mt. Prospect, IL. I signed a "used vehicle limited implied warranty of Merchantability for power train components" which says the car will be free of defect. There wasn't any problems noted on that warranty. On November 26, 2019 I took the car back because of oil leaking all over my garage floor from the oil pan gasket. Also, the air filter was extremely dirty. I dropped it off with the manager, Marcin Gogawski. I explained to him that I did not want the car, but the manager insisted he would fix it. I was told the leak had been repaired and to pick it up the next day. Due to the holidays, I could not pick it up until Friday November 29, 2019. I picked it up on Friday and soon realized the problem was not fixed. The check engine light came on. All parts on the car were unchanged and looked as if the car was not serviced at all. The dealership did not write an invoice on the service they provided. They also did not provide one upon request. The Services Department told me it was just an "internal job" the manager asked them to do; so they did not process an invoice. When I bought the car, the mileage was 95,402. Upon the final return, it was 95,642 miles. Out of the 240 miles, 200 of those miles were used going back and forth to the dealership from Plainfield, IL.
I called *** National Bank to inform them I no longer desired the loan on November 26th, and again on December 2nd. *** National bank said they could not cancel the loan even though the money had not been released. *** does not have a record of my purchase of vehicle as of December 2nd. I am no longer in possession of the Jeep. It is currently at Napleton's Volkswagen as of December 2, 2019. Based on these factors I no longer want the Jeep. I would like to request a refund.
While we will not accept a return for this vehicle, we will extend a courtesy in the interest of customer relations. After inspection, the only major issue with the vehicle is related to the EVAP system; upon diagnosis, the vehicle shows code *** which indicates a leak. Because this is not a mechanical issue, it would not fall under any other coverage which would be considered the dealer's responsibility to remedy, and is certainly not grounds to cancel a purchase. In this circumstance, we would collect only a $100 deductible from the customer and perform the work to resolve the EVAP system issue related to code P0457. We would also ask and require that, prior to any work being performed, the customer and any of the customer's friends and/or family members delete any social media posts accusing our dealership of any wrongdoing, as that is obviously not the case here.

I am rejecting this response because: Napleton's Volkwagen has ignored all the information stated above. I went to the Dealership twice trying to fix the vehicle and both times I was lied too about the problems of the car. Not only was I lied too but Napleton's Volkwagen did not fix the car when given the chance. Napleton's Volkwagen also said they will not fix the car until the negative comments are deleted because they believe them to be false. I went to Naperville's Jeep dealership to get a full inspection that provided proof that what I said in the reviews are not false. I have provided the documentation on the Revdex.com. Napleton's Volkwagen need to answer why their dealership would say there are no leaks when the full inspection I had done shows that there are. Napleton's Volkwagen needs to fix the leaks and all problems associated with the check engine light being on. Not being truthful and not fixing the car is what lead to the conclusion that I needed the refund. It is the dealerships job to fix the car I have bought from them. Napleton's Volkwagen refusing to put any time or effort into fixing my car is a problem. Even if they agree to work on the car after this I would always have to have a second person look over it since they have lied TWICE BEFORE. Why is Napleton's Volkwagen not fully inspecting my car? As a person who is not a mechanic I can clearly see the leaks. Why did they say that the leaks were fixed when the car was obviously not touched? Afterwards why did they lie and say there were no leaks at all? Why every time I go there the service department has not made an invoice showing the service done to my car? The check engine light has also came back on after Napleton's Volkswagen has turned it off which leads me to believe it was turned off before I bought it and is not a new problem.
Sincerely,
Kivone
The customer brought their vehicle back to us post-delivery stating very specific concerns which our technician looked at free of charge to the customer. See IMG_4208 that the customer has provided: 1) the check engine light, 2) the oil pan gasket, 3) the trans solenoid switch are the documented concerns. There was also apparently a concern regarding the air filter which we do not address below; air filters are the customer's responsibility to replace if they wish.
1) We have already offered assistance on this item which the customer has declined, and the customer has volunteered that upon further driving of the vehicle the check engine light has turned off. This is common with issues related to emissions systems.
2) Our technician saying that "there is no leak" (which they did not) or that they "found no leak" (which they did not), and that there were "no major oil leaks found" (which they provided in writing to the customer) are two very different statements. It does not appear that anyone has told this customer that the vehicle was not leaking despite the customer's repeated accusations otherwise; according to our technician, there is simply no cause for concern regarding the issue the customer asked us to inspect. Seepage/minor leaks are common in 13 year old vehicles, do not impair their expected performance or valuation, and are certainly not a reason to demand a return of the vehicle or that a dealership turn a 13 year old used car into a like-new vehicle.
3) There were no faults found by our technician in the trans solenoid.
The vehicle was released to the customer who took their car to a different shop which diagnosed things that the customer was certainly aware of when taking delivery of the vehicle such as the broken hood clip. They also diagnosed things that have not failed, but may fail at some point in the future such as the u-joint. More importantly, there is no indication in the brief write-up how much oil was actually leaking; nor have we been provided any documentation or image to contradict what our technician observed (minor seepage) over a period of several days. As far as we can tell there was no discernible oil leak when the customer originally came to look at the vehicle, when they came back later that same day to complete the transaction at their discretion, while the vehicle was in our service department, or when the customer picked the vehicle up from our service department. There are no line item breakdowns provided by Naperville Jeep, and a round lump sum total of $4700 was provided without detail. We stand behind our offer of fixing the check engine light issue (even though it may currently be non-present) as we suggested prior because that concern was clearly acknowledged and verified by our technician.
