Review: On several occasions when I went to S&W Savage each time I went to pay for my merchandise I was ask to present several forms of ID. The last time that I visited S &W Savage I stayed around just to observe other customers which I witness them not being ask to present any form of ID. When I left the store I call to make a complaint and was told by the manager that I was not being treated any different than anybody else that came in and the cashier did not recognize them. He said she was just doing her job that there had been women who came in and charge up products and used other people ID's. I ask him to please explain her actions to me further because I was not understanding that it still was not clear why the other women was not treated the same as I was. I clearly was treated with a disservice and is therefor making this complaint.Desired Settlement: An apology that each and every customer be treated the same when paying for their merchandise at their store.
Business
Response:
The complaint states that she was making a (credit card)
purchase and that the cashier requested proper ID. It is our policy to require
identification from customers who wish to pay by check, credit/card debit card.
This policy is posted at the cash register and is intended to protect both the customer
and merchant from fraudulent transactions.
The complaints states that the next (credit card) customer
in line was not asked to provided ID. This was because the customer voluntarily
presented her ID with her credit card.
The store manager attempted to explain to the complainant
why we asked for proper ID on check, credit/debit card transactions. The
complainant was more concerned that she was being treated differently than
other customers. As stated in paragraph two this was not the case.
I hope the information I am providing is sufficient to bring
this matter to a close.
Yours truly,
Consumer

I have reviewed the offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID[redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Regards,
I have read the response from [redacted] from N&w Salvage and founded it to be untrue. I would like for them to admit that what they said in the letter is untrue.
I want to an apology from N&W Salvage for the embarrassment and humiliation of this incident and the choose words that was spoken to me.
