American Express has responded back to us on May 15th stating that the disputes were lost by our company and that the fees ($each) as well as the disputed amount ($each) will not be credited to us Without these amounts credited to us we cannot issue a refund to the customer
because there is nothing to refund If the customer wants to contact AmEx directly again and provide us with documentation stating otherwise I can escalate that to our payment provider but as of now the response from AmEx was clear - disputes were not dropped and we they ruled against us and retained the money There is not much I can do here as there is nothing I'm able to refund
I'm still unsure why the customer will not contact us directly so we can handle this for them. On 8/14 the customer purchased a monthly subscription to our online design services for $19.95. Then on 8/21 the customer purchased 18 stock photos for $1.00 each ($18.00 total) to use in the design that was created. I've attached that design for their reference. On 9/14 the monthly subscription that was purchased renewed for $19.95. There is no pending charge of $19.95 and I've ensured that the subscription is canceled.
I have opened up a further investigation with our credit card processing company (Stripe) to see if they can provide more detail based on the bank statement images you have provided. I anticipate a response from them within a few days, once I get that additional information from them I will respond to this with a resolution.
We responded to the customers email immediately on August 18th and have not heard back from here: Our response is below - if she would respond to us we could handle the request without any problem. I only show a single charge to this user account ([redacted]).What is the issue that...

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
I am rejecting this response because: I requested that this subscription be cancelled on or about 8. 21.16. I did not renew this subscription in September and am requesting a refund. It is not practical for me to renew in September and not use it. In addition, I did not receive 18 stock photos and was charged $18.00 for a one page brochure.I received one (1) brochure for my grandson's school project which was turned in at the beginning of the school year so I had no need to use/renew your subscription.
It is very disturbing to be charged almost $60.00 for a one page brochure.
