My Oh My The Show

I contracted to do my show at 4 of *** Though I first reached out to *** in their SA region I was quickly referred to their home office in Dallas and from that point on my contact with ***

Our agreement was they would host my show. If I did $1250 worth of food and drink business at each show I would not have to pay any rent for the use of their event space. I was told the my guests WOULD NOT be able to order food from the regular menu so we agree to try a buffet. The cost would be $19.95 for each buffet sold. I was told that if I needed to change the number of guests buying the buffet, either up or down, as long as I notified them in advance, I could do so.

For some reason I was told I contracted for 100 buffets at the SA location (and only the location). I informed them at least a week in advance there was no way that was correct and no way we would sell that many. On the phone while in the car where I had 3 people who heard the conversation because I had it on speaker phone since I was driving..they agreed to lower the amount to 20 buffets and told me we could add to that if needed. A few hours later when I arrive at the venue, and only a couple of hours before the show was to start...I was informed that they had changed their mind and I was responsible for 50 buffets. To add further insult they had come up with a menu that they said people could order off the menu. Unreal. I told them NO ONE would be allowed to order off the menu because I had to sell the buffets. But later on, right before the show started I noticed they were allowing people to order from the menu. After the show was over they tried to get me to pay for 50 buffets, plus tax plus 20% gratuity. I told them I would need to talk with the home office about this matter. I didnt raise a stink when they first said I was responsible for 50 buffets because the show was about to start and we were sold out and I felt I could get the matter settle when I got back home and talked with Victoria.

When I got back home I called Victoria 4 times and left her a voice mail each time. I sent her 2 emails. To this day, over 1 month later I have not heard from her.

My agreement with D and B was if I sold over $1250 worth of food and drink I would not owe them anything. We had over 130 people there that night. If they can prove to me they sold less than $1250 in foood and drink I will do I agreed and pay them the difference. They want me to pay for food that was not used or sold, yet they want to keep all the profit they made that night from the food and drink they sold. They want to go back on the agreement we made and make me pay for food that was not used or sold

I have doing the MYOHMY SHOW for almost 5 years....at some of the same venues for that same amount of time. I have never had a problem with ANYONE in the past 5 years. We are invited back month after month. If you would like to talk with some of those venues, the owners...please let me know.

Also..ask the Managers of the ***....they want us back. But working with *** I have dealt with the most inept, unprofessional corporate people I have ever dealt with. The managers on site are great but jeez...the corporate people are a mess. Never again.
