I received a pre-qualification letter from this store I had a week before it expired. I went there to check it out. I WAS SUPPOSE to be taken care of by ***, but as soon as my girlfriend & I arrived, *** just gave me away to a guy named ***. *** seemed nice & professional, at first. I told *** first that we couldn't stay long because she had to work . He said thats okay I'm leaving with a car today. He told my girlfriend she could leave me there (in our car) & I'd be taken care of. Not only did the letter say that I wouldn't be there long, *** himself told me I wouldn't be there no more than 2 hours, I got there at 12p. They asked me questions about my credit & down payment. I was 100% up front about everything, I did not have anything to put down. The letter said that I was approved for a min. of $6,000 up to the max. of $29,000. *** said that was definitely okay. They had me test drive 3 cars. Filled out paperwork & gave all required information, *** had me wait in the lobby. I noticed after 2hrs passing they walked around & smoked cigarettes outside. I went out to talk with them about my car. I overheard them talking inappropriate about other customers & I overheard them DELIBERATELY refuse to take calls from their current customers that purchased vehicles. *** came out numerous times saying the customers were upset & *** & another salesman just ignored it cracked jokes. I kept asking about my offer, he said they were still waiting for the bank to call back. I asked about the APR, THE MONTHLY PAYMENTS EVERYTHING, all *** could tell me is that my payment will be exactly $322/month. (3) THREE HOURS PASS they're just walking around talking on their phones &/or smoking. *** gave me a loaner, didn't sign anything. Had the car for a WEEK. Since the day I left there *** promised my car would be ready the next day. The day my letter expired, I called & learned *** QUIT. he says he took the day off but didn't have my car. He demanded The car back and I never got my car.

Customer *** is correct that they received a “pre qualification letter” based on information provided by Experian credit services. Based on this data, one or more of our 20 lenders had pre qualified them for a loan from 6,000 to 29,000. Once the customer provides all the requested data such as monthly income, time on job, time on residence, and a full credit check, an official loan offer is provided with required down payment. I do know that *** had came in requesting zero down payment and 100% plus tt&l financing, and thats what we submitted to our lenders on their behalf.Based on the data in the private credit file, and the other stipulations of income, time on employment, etc. We could not get them approved at the requested zero down, we were able to secure a 14,000 loan, but with 20% down, or 2,800. That being said we went to work hard with all of our lenders to get this down payment lowered for the customers. Rather than have *** wait in the store during the lengthy process of rehashing deals with national auto lenders, we allowed them to drive our car, free of charge of course, and the customer knew it was a pending deal. Once we had exhausted all options, we let the customer know that we just couldn't get the deal done on their requested terms, but were able to honor the pre qualification of a loan from 6,000 to 29,000, but the down payment would be more than their current budget. Once the customer confirmed they could not come up with that down payment, we asked them to return the car. All of those credit decisions are between the customer and the bank, we have little we can do once a final decision is made. We feel that we made every accommodation to get this deal done and the customer sustained no monetary loss. They stated they put fuel in the car that they drove for several days, that was at their discretion based on their driving habits.As for our employees smoking habits, we will surely address those asap as we value our reputation, brand, and cleanliness.
