Horrible rude customer service on the phone! Woman was ranting and being disrespectful when trying to ask info about renting a refrigerator for an SMU freshman. From the review above it must be the same woman and apparently she is one of the owners so nothing is going to change. The only way to teach these people is to NOT use their service and put them out of business!

First off, I am not a ranter nor a disrespectful person in any way shape or form. All I can do is apologize to this person if anything was taken out of context when trying to assist them in placing their order or needing additional information. We have been in business since 1972 and have great customer service. This year due to COVID-19 we are having to rearrange in every way how we take our orders for the college students and it is very trying not only on our part but the customer as well.

This was my 1st time to use Mustang Rentals &, if I can help it, it will be the last & if you were smart, you never would! They were HORRIBLE. I gave them 1 star b/c I HAD to. Otherwise they would have 0... Here's why:

My daughter was a freshman in college and this was the company they recommended them to use. In fact, it is the only company the accept, if you want to use a microwave in the dorm room. The fridge forever leaked & it froze the food in the refrigerator part of it all the time. When they picked up the fridge, the people who picked it up put a chair that was at a desk, on top of a bed with stuff on it & when they took the fridge out, left yellow liquid all over the floor not telling anyone about it or even TRYING to pick it up.

Worse than all that, my daughter started getting emails and calls (she never got txt messages. ( I received 1 end of July...) or letters even though Mary *** said they sent them to her) about a fine we were going to have to pay for curling iron damages to the door of the fridge that she hadn't done. I saw the fridge before they picked it up & made an effort to wipe down the outside w/ Clorox wipe & saw no such damage. I sent the one txt I received on to my daughter, anyway, so she could take care of it b/c, lets face it, $50 won't break us & it wasn't worth the fight (I know to take before and after pics now) even though I knew she hadn't caused the damage. Maybe the damage was there when it was installed... maybe they switch the numbers around when they delivered the fridges (Mary *** (the EXTREMELY RUDE person (& one of the owners, apparently) I spoke with on the phone) said the fridges were given a # that matched which room they went into) I can PROMISE you they weren't inspecting them as they took them out of the rooms. Anyway, as soon as I called, she could BARELY wait for me to stop explaining the reason I was calling before she abruptly said "she paid it". I explained that I just wanted to make sure & that I wanted them to be aware that there had been some form of mixup as to really who was responsible for it but couldn't get it out because Matt *** was yelling at me and interrupting, every time I tried to. She would change words I was saying into something else, she did NOTHING but tell and argue REFUSING to listen to the complaints. When I asked to speak to a manager she said "I'm one of the owners" which then asked to speak to a different one b:c it was OBVIOUS she wasn't hearing me and I was done being cut off and yelled at, to which she said "NO MA'AM!! I YOU MAY NOT". I mentioned to her that I would come here and make a complaint as well as call the university to let them know the behavior of the people they're dealing with.

If you can AT ALL manage it, DO NOT use this company! Things break. Mixups happen and if that was ALL that had taken place, I wouldn't be writing this right now but it is NOT ok for someone who puts themselves out as the FACE of a company or someone in customer service to TREAT a customer (former or current), no matter HOW they think they may deserve (& she did think we deserved it b/c the bill wasn't paid the minute she snapped her fingers at us) as a lesser or so rudely refusing to LISTEN to the complaint &, instead, jumping on the defense!
